In germany the cops would ignore that and tell him to please not do it again. Actually if you go up to a cop car here you can simply ask them to use the megaphone with your friends and beatbox and rap and do fun stuff over it. They allow alot of shit since they act like normal people and who the fuck thinks a careful backflip from a copcar is a threat? It's funny how people always say "not evry cop in america bad!!" where are these videos come from? A lot of bad trained "godlike" thinking police officers. Bring me some "asshole" cops from norway, germany, sweden and such countries. There is almost none.
not evry cop in america bad!! No really, it's pretty much an exaggerated stereotype. I mean of course there are officers out there who don't deserve to have their jobs, tons of them, but the ratio of bad cop to good cop is probably 1 to 50. It also depends on where you live. In Sweden, Norway, and Germany you don't have L.A. and Chicago and St. Louis and hundreds of other places; crime isn't nearly as bad. So it only makes sense we'd lower standards to attain a larger amount of officers. Thus, with that, comes more people who aren't fit for the job. It's unfortunate but it is highly exaggerated in most cases. And what YourFriendJoe said.
i don't disagree, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that american police are way too prone to being abusive and that's a legitimate issue that needs to be addressed
Sure our cops can take their job out of hand, but if were gonna address police abuse, we shouldn't start with America. Mexico is actually worse, and there are more down the road.
Sure our cops can take their job out of hand, but if were gonna address police abuse, we shouldn't start with America.
right.. but i'm american.. living in america.. so i kinda give a shit about fixing my country before we embark on a mission to save the fuckin planet
We can't stop police abuse quickly. Yes I want it to be fixed, but there is more important issues our country needs to work on before we start working on another problem.
Though they should just tell the guy filming to keep his distance. He has a right to film the arrest.
Just going to say that we didn't see what happened before the clip, the person recording could have been being an ass to the cops or something like that
It's really not as bad as people make it out to be, but I wasn't trying to say we don't have a problem. You can't blame individual officers and have them fired and things will suddenly be okay. Look at the departments and the structure of law enforcement as a whole. It's gotten so bad in my city that you can get a 62 on your final academy exam and still become an officer. Better recruitment process, better education, better training, and better instruction will be the key. Some departments are actually funded like shit too, but look at our economy. If you look at statistics you'll actually see that when the economy starts going bad so does police work.

Yes I want to fix what's left of the bad ones, but we can't do it currently with all the shit going on.
i don't think it's a good sign when your automatic idea of an appropriate reaction to someone doing a backflip off a cop car is to shout at him and throw him into your car by the throat
It wasnt automatic. He committed a stupid crime in front of officers. The officers, after he landed, gave him orders and he didnt respond to them promptly. He also tried to walk away from the officer. A big no no. Its not about "automatically throwing him into your car by the throat" its in escalation of force. The man didnt respond, so the officers too swift action. [editline]29th October 2012[/editline] "One half of one percent of all officers do not fit the uniform. That is a better percentage than clergymen. " This officers acted reasonably and can articulate in their report that the use of force was justified
Every single video I have seen of american police is like this. And that is a lot. I have seen none from the UK.
Yeah well who would upload a video of cops doing their jobs like normal? They get a bad reputation because it's only in the news and on youtube when they do bad shit, not when they do the good shit the other 99% of their time.

You dont understand and im not going to waste time trying to make you understand. You are like one of those activists that we see on youtube all the time, fighting the system

Just lay it out in a list form (with a short brief) what issues you have with american police. More specifically, your department since you cannot speak on behalf of all police in this country.
God man, stop taking everything people say and form an argument out of it.
i'm sorry for expressing an opinion you disagree with
Wow did you even watch the video? He does a backflip over an Officer The Officer who was pretty much in his sights because he turned his head around. Next, the guy pretty much looks like he's walking away whilst they're trying to get a hold of him thus resulting in the other officer pushing him into the car. And the "shouting" is harmless. Its not like they said something that wasn't true. If you're stupid enough to backflip over and Officer on a Police car then you should expect to be called a dumbass.
you should expect to be verbally abused for doing drunken acrobatics lol [editline]30th October 2012[/editline]
Just lay it out in a list form (with a short brief) what issues you have with american police. A video of an american cop doing something right would be more sensationalist.
America, Land of the Free. Except when you want to do backflips. Then you're just a dirty communist and deserve to rot in prison.
Wow, it's like people don't even know the difference between Canada and America, how insulting.
Wow, it's like people don't even know the difference between Canada and America, how insulting.
What's the difference?
What's the difference?
If I told you I'd have to kill you.
If I told you I'd have to kill you.
I'm ready please reveal to me your secrets.
Officers are actually RCMP Constables. Not american. [editline]29th October 2012[/editline]
What's the difference?
Minnesota

Can people stop arguing about how some cops are assholes and others aren't and just talk about the video.
The reason the police do not like cameras is not because they are afraid, but the fact that it is annoying. Typically the camera shows up during stressful situations or confrontational situations in which the officer is already on edge. How would you feel if I stuck a camera in your face or started filming you at your place of work the moment something confrontational may start or if there is the chance you might fuck up? Or did so during a stressful moment in your workplace? It's not a solid excuse and I am not defending that the officers are stating it is illegal to film. I am just saying how it is felt. A lot of those people who stick cameras in your face are sidewalk lawyers to begin with and only agitate situations. As for the people complaining about the cops in this. If you could let me know where all of you park your cars, or, if you do not own a car, where the location of your parent's cars are so I can show up, climb up onto them, and do backflips off of them since you find it is no problem to do such activity. Thanks. (Oh, I also hope you do not mind if I wear my hobnail boots while doing it, thanks!)
To embed videos you need the clean link without any &feature=blahblhabaha shit in it. [editline]29th October 2012[/editline] Wow American police officers are assholes.
Yeah man, those fucking pigs trying to remove my freedom to humiliate police officers by filming them and uploading the footage to youtube after they ask me to shut off my camera, climb on top of squad cars with no clear intentions, and to make sudden jumping/lunging movements towards police officers. ~RON PAUL 2012, RESEARCH THE NWO~

Honestly if I was a cop, the only time I'd want to be recorded is on a dash cam. The police saw him as a threat and took action.
if i were a cop i probably wouldn't want people with whacky looking hats singing folk tunes while i try to make an arrest but i'm not going to threaten to arrest or attack them because they get on my nerves. if they saw him as a threat they're morons and shouldn't be cops
