Feels a bit like Dark souls
This looks like it's got more of a demon souls/ds1 feel than ds2
This looks like it's got more of a demon souls/ds1 feel than ds2
Which is good because DS2 is a great game, but arguably worse than the other two in the series, especially when it comes to the atmosphere and level design.
It's exactly what I wanted, semi-fast paced Souls gameplay mmm can't wait.
This looks like it's got more of a demon souls/ds1 feel than ds2
The animations seem to follow the same style as Dark Souls 2 with fast movement and the same assured walk cycle, but they're going for a much more nervous type of gameplay where you can't block and you dodge instead of roll. I don't think it's fair to compare it to any of the previous games, because it's trying really hard to do something new and as far as I can see it's succeeding. Just keep in mind that the branch of From Software that's making this game is the same that made Dark Souls 2, only with a bigger budget and more creative freedom. Also it looks like the game has some really good blood textures. There aren't that many games out there that actually use a colored mask rather than a texture decal to do blood splatters.
The real successor to Dark Souls
The real successor to Dark Souls
That makes no sense at all from any standpoint whatsoever.
The real successor to Dark Souls
Rumor is it's[sp]a sequel to demon souls, as there's a character who says the prayer umbasa. Further more there is no magic, the consequence for putting the old one back to sleep was the loss of magic and soul arts.[/sp]
kinda reminds me of Vampire Hunter D
The last video they made about this game was confusing as fuck
I cannot wait for this, it just looks so much better. Dark Soul 2 was a great game but still disappointing at times, this game will hopefully blow everything out of the water.
Well, it certainly lives up to its name. Lots of blooooooood.
The fighting looks really good. It's fast paced Dark Souls. Fucking amazing!

Some people found him in the alpha by glitching into an unfinished area. If he killed you he would say some stuff and then say "Umbasa".[/sp]

The tension and that rewarding feel you get from reaching that bonfire or killing that boss was totally removed, completely killed the game for me. They tried to hype up difficulty and totally missed the point. I'm sure this [sp]also started out as a Demon's Soul sequel internally at first, Sony's CEO or some exec I can't remember said they were working on a Demon's Souls 2 long before Dark Souls 2 came out. I can't remember the finer details or dig up the article where that came from so feel free to correct me[/sp]
Definitely gonna get this, too bad I will miss out on the multiplayer tho.

I'M SO ******* READY!! *Gets launched upward by the hype*
It looks pretty neat but it's a shame it's a PS4 exclusive, not really the kind of game I'd wanna play on a console and I'm not particularly interested in owning a PS4 anyhow
Did they get rid of fall damage? They fell super far and didn't look like they got hurt.
Didn't they register "Dark Forest" or something some time ago and it was speculated that would be a sequel to Demon's Souls?
A couple of screens leaked, then a short trailer that called it "Beast Souls". It had all of the details about PlayStation exclusivity I think, leading to people thinking it was a sequel, just with a different name.
Did they get rid of fall damage? They fell super far and didn't look like they got hurt.
It looks similar to what it was like in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 where you can fall from great heights without taking much damage.
It was called Project Beast.
Yep. Eventually became Bloodborne. Gonna handle this the way I did the other games, go in blind. Man I need a PS4 first, though.
