What. He's one of the most developed characters in the series. Went from a bastard of winter fell to [sp]Commander of the nights watch, after joining the wildlings and getting the story from their side.[/sp]
Edit : That being said i was fucking stunned at the end of S3, most of the 'reaction' moments after that have seemed cheap.
i personally thought he had level 100 plot armor
The only people with some form of plot armor are the disabled and for 3 seasons major assholes get plot armor.

That's not character development.
There's no sense that going from the bastard of Winterfell to[sp]Lord Commander[/sp]changed anything about him. For all the shit he's gone though and done John Snow of S5 is exactly the same as John Snow of S1.
how can people get so emotionally attached to a character? you could see it happening a mile off
You've never gotten emotional over a movie?
I mean... I know people who don't bat an eye at sad films but to not even be able to comprehend how other people could is a little sad.
You mean the Stannis fight? Because they were extremely outnumbered.
That is, implying that pulling 20 thousand good men and horses out of your ass isn't plot armor
I generally can't stand reaction videos in general, people over acting on camera for views is just so cringe worthy. The worst kind are for the people who do them for trailers.

Game of Thrones has a pretty noticeable plot development pattern, actually.
[sp]If the character has a prophecy of any sort attached to him, he'll fucking die before the prophecy gets accomplished. Likely as setup for the final book/season.
If the character is an underdog, they'll survive - except if they're somehow tied to a prophecy.
If the character is part of literally ANY noble family, they're bound to die or get fucked over really badly.
Plot armor expires after one season.[/sp]
I feel like I'm the only one who couldn't get past episode 3 of the first season of this show. I had no clue what was going on.
It took me about 2 seasons to finally understand the houses and the characters and their motivations. Now it's easy.

How is that not character development? He originally [sp]went with the wildlings to kill their leader, and ended up letting them through the wall.[/sp] Do you literally want him to go from good -> evil or something, or announce all his internal thoughts? Life doesn't tend to be like that.
