The robot is not learning on it's own. It's been programmed to store the image of itself when the user gives the right commands.
Nothing special.
holy fuck this is terrofying

I am hearing explosions and an advertisement for "blinkey" and now a kid is talking.

Fucking vimeo videos autoplay in Opera.

I know, I had my first experience with that issue in the KSP thread, the problem was that a lot of people quoted it so each time I read in that thread I heard 3 rocket engines ignite at once.

Way too predictable, wouldve been better if he actually made the kids parents stop fighting.

You son of a...
it'll be asking "does this unit have a soul?" soon, then we're fucked.
Fuck yeah science

Those two are the same thing. A robot will never be able to learn on it's own, it will never be able to act independently of its own programming. A robot must be programmed to do anything. You say it's nothing special to be able to store and image of itself when given the right commands, but there is absolutely no other way to do it.

People seem to forget that we as living organisms must be taught everything as well. Any behaviors not inherited as instincts we must learn later in life. AI can already do that. Even Cleverbot does that. Someone tells it something, it learns it, it tells someone else the same thing. Albeit it doesn't always make sense.

Exactly. The way we do it is just a fuck load more sophisticated. The human brain has its own programming, except it is a combination of electrical and chemical signals, and as we learn more about how our own brain is programmed we learn how to program the same things into robots.

The thing is, no one programmed our brains, they not only evolved into their current state of sentience but also continuously develop on their own during our life to levels way beyond what they were like when we were born. Similarly we need robot AI to develop its own capabilities and routines from experience, I.E what it can learn from the environment rather than what we explicitly program it to be capable of.
Why does it reminds me of Skyrim's NPCs? Maybe its the "blocky" and complicated way it speaks.
"Until next time."
*cuts you with an axe*
Which is good for a robot, but bad for the game.
And for us... Soon enough they'll be impregnating our women.

We need to actually learn what learning is first. I am pretty sure we have no idea how we learn, since it is so complicated how we store and recall information, as well as use the information to benefit us.
Qbo learning is one of the first steps towards humanlike mental development in a robot.

Well of course we need to understand how learning actually works. What I'm saying is that if/when we figure it out it will turn out to be absolutely nothing like what the robot in the OP is doing.

They gotta get the sperm from somewhere.
Female robots extracting sperm from human males, then injecting it inside the posterior cavity of male robots to inject into human females. No issue here.
Well, that's not very impressive, I was expecting it to move around and finding it out by himself.
