He has Yoda and Chewbacca collectors plates on the top shelf behind him.
Pretty much I still remember the "ermagherd it's Eggman" and "look it's Call of Dooty" comments. I'm sure that [del]Pixar[/del] Disney won't go the Emoji Movie 2: Electric Boogaloo route.
Potentially controversial opinion, but Wreck it Ralph disappointed me. The trailers hyped me up for a Roger Rabbit for video games. The begining with all those characters got me excited to see how they'd work them all together, and then they just don't. I went in hoping for Video Game: The Movie and instead got Candy Land: The Movie (with a couple of video game references and ideas). [sp]also what's with the trend of using completely unrelated pop songs like Good Feeling and Some Nights in trailers like these I kind of hate it[/sp]
We already have a confirmed scene where he meets all the Disney princesses, with each actress reprising their roles. I recall reading Meridia says something and the other princesses tell Ralph she's from another studio. Also recall Star Wars and marvel fan site jokes being mentioned in the same article

There better a be a subtle 4chan/anonymous reference in there and I'll be happy.
And it's even got a dusty cover with some hand prints on it oh my god [editline]3[/editline] Unless I'm seeing things.
It's actually got some consistency to it. There's a wifi dongle plugged in because the Bondi iMac G3s didn't have AirPort cards. Outside of that it's even got the rainbow Apple and Finder logos intact. [editline]28th February 2018[/editline] Reddit figured out the OS version (9.0.4) and that it's the real OS in an emulator
There are some obscure companies/sites in this trailer as well, or at least ones I've never heard of, like 'Allocine', which is a French company, so probably wouldn't be well known outside of France. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlloCin%C3%A9 [editline]28th February 2018[/editline] There are a couple parodies as well, 'Expectya' instead of 'Expedia', BuzzFood instead of BuzzFeed.
I am getting some worrying Emoji Movie vibes from this, but that inflation joke got a good hard laugh out of me. I wonder if that was a deliberate reference to the fucked-up fetishistic kids games on the internet.
They even used it for the first WiR trailer too
1:34 WHY DO THEY KEEP USING THIS SONG But also, even from this trailer, Wreck-it Ralph 1 seemed kind of underwhelming and i came out of the theater loving it

Oh and the main building they work in is called "The Steve Jobs Building"
where are the emojis you can't have the internet without emojis
Eat my emoticon :3
Apparently the full PT-BR localized title for Wreck It Ralph 2 is "Wi-Fi Ralph". What the fuck? [editline]1st March 2018[/editline] Also why are they using Baby Moana for the girl? Lazy? A little bit, but in the grand scheme of things who's going to care but us nerds on the internet?
Or it's a nod to Moana.
Probably both.
Oh my God, that bunny joke caught me off guard. People overuse "lol" online but I legitimately laughed out loud.
Decent quality meme material here.
I can't wait for the part where Ralph discovers the emulation scene and decides to help dump roms to preserve the lives of his comrades.
I can't wait for the part where Ralph discovers the emulation scene and decides to help dump roms to preserve the lives of his comrades.
No joke, that would be a fantastic foundation for an actual plot.
What if in the movie Ralph ends up finding bootleg/rom hack versions of himself?
What if in the movie Ralph ends up finding bootleg/rom hack versions of himself?
Zootopia did a joke about bootlegs of (actual) Disney movies so it could be possible
Ralph finds a back-alley shop that gives out downloads of roms for games and you can summon physical versions of the game characters through emulation and he finds a copy of Fix-it Felix so he tries to summon him to help them figure out how to get back to the arcade but because the emulation software isn't up to par it just results in a pixelated version of Felix popping out and all he can say is "I can fix it!" :v:
No joke, that would be a fantastic foundation for an actual plot.
It's Disney - if there is any mention of emulation it will be in the worst possible light possible.

Like fan games with weird versions of Felix or Ralph and such. I'd almost be surprised if we don't see fan game versions of the various characters show up at some point to help the heroes out, or hinder them.

This whole trailer looks so weird.
I think they went for the internet just so they couldn't be accused of treading the same ground again for the sequel.
I think they went for the internet just so they couldn't be accused of treading the same ground again for the sequel.
Reasonably, they covered a lot within the first movie itself so they kind of painted themselves into a corner, material-wise. They covered the whole Call of Duty/Halo-esque super serious type games, racing games, platformers, retro games, etc. in the first movie itself. If they were to keep with that theme, there was little material outside of new situations they could cover to make it a great fresh story. Maybe the advent of online multiplayer games and Ralph having an existential crisis about the multiple versions of him that exist out there, but that's about it. Or perhaps some sort of weird virus, but that'd have the mother of all plot armor to explain in a way that makes sense. :v: This way at least it gives them an out to explore, but it leaves me wondering what happens after this? Does Ralph jump the shark, do one of those "Freaky Friday" things where he somehow ends up in the real world? Because that'd kinda suck.
I can't wait for the crossover scene with the emoji movie! Do you think Ralph will meet Gene and Jailbreak, or will they only be an easter egg in the background?
I can't wait for the part where Ralph discovers the emulation scene and decides to help dump roms to preserve the lives of his comrades.
Wreck-it Ralph is already eerily similar to an old (and very entertaining imo) webcomic called Kid Radd, and if the trend continues, your emulation preservation foundation idea may actually happen.
