I hope the story is somewhat interesting, i like the story of Doom 3 and all the mails you could find but it became a bore since the PDA you had dragged you out of the atmosphere of the game and after reading mail number 100 you just stop reading.
I honestly never read the mails in Doom 3, I only quickly scanned them to search for security codes.

A single player campaign for me becomes a lot more interesting if there actually is a story present. Oh yeah i did hate how they had like 4 minute long audio logs and all the way at the very fucking end you had the security code
[sp]According to the leaks, yes, its a sequel to Doom 64[/sp]
[sp]If it's a leak to Doom 64, I dunno how most of the new fanbase this will get, will understand the game.[/sp]
Is that an Archvile in 0:50?
I hope they're just as much as a pain in the ass as the original.
Unlikely, given that all of the footage of the game I've seen so far has disappearing corpses.

[sp]The most you need to know is Doomguy stayed in hell after Doom 64 to keep it in check, and was found in hell encased in a tomb by the time of this Doom game. Also, the monster design seems to be a mix of classic with Doom 64, and some Doom 3 thrown in.[/sp]

Based on some of the design choices that appear to be based on Doom 3, I like the thought that Doom 3 was just a side story about a regular marine doing regular marine stuff in the DOOM universe and that's why it played different and he saw everything as scary rather than brutal.
