also I never bothered with any of the other games mostly due to the fact that I never owned a DS, or found them interesting. KH2 left us on such a cliffhanger I'm glad KH3 is finally being worked on. I got so sick of hearing Square Enix year after year announce a game they were working on that WASN'T KH3. So really, I'm happy that this game can finally leave development hell. Also, I'm sure KH3 will offer some sort of series recap in the game for those who only played the first two games.

With the ReMIX stuff, you'll get the general stories of the two DS games. All you need is a 3DS to enjoy both of them in their entirety plus Dream Drop Distance, though, effectively making it so you only need a PS3 and 3DS before KH3 hits. Plus, the cliffhanger of KH2 leads straight into Dream Drop Distance (3D, or DDD), and DDD is leading straight up into KH3, so you'll at least want to get a course on what happened there - it's not a spinoff, it's a direct sequel.
