I feel like a reworked character with a decent design that just so happened to be a pony in its previous incarnation is considerably better than having a huge "MYSTERYBEN" watermark in the corner.

This one didn't have the same flow as Ghost animated since he tried to expand upon a plot that was meant for one video. I absolutely love Mystery Skulls and would love to see more animations with their music, but each "story" should be kept to one song. Ghost and Magic are good examples, though Magic never got to reach a full animation.
This was less of a music video and more of an animation with bad pacing and a story that tries to take itself too seriously, with music in the background. Didn't even bother to sync up the head bopping, which was pretty much his signature in the first ones. If you factor in the shameless mary sue it's not a good sign
It's a shame because Ghost was almost flawless and mystery skull songs are still great, hope I'm wrong and it was just a weak one. The animation itself was still really good
I like the series. I'm kind of interested in the story of it.
I liked the first one, but this one just kinda fell completely.

I mean, i spotted the dog with a weird colour haircut and glasses as a deviantart furry OC the moment I first watched the video.
Also the head bopping is too constant and too extreme for my taste. There are better ways to sync animation to music.

lmao I never even knew people went around to dig that up, I've been following this guy for long enough to figure it out, the pony version of the character was his channel avatar for the longest time even when Ghost came out and if I recall correctly it even makes a few cameos in some of his earlier animations. Hell the dog still has his channel logo on the collar now, not hard to figure out
It's not a sin or anything but the fact this is looking to turn from basically a scooby doo parody to some guy's fanfiction is a little bit concerning
The music is good, the animation is very good. But it's not a music video this time.
It feels like it misses the cleverness of the first music video and tried too hard on focusing on telling a story with the idea of "Music video" being just tacked on.
