It's easier to come out of the closet right now since there's a huge LGBT movement going on than coming out 20 years ago. I'd say it's the same for a situation like this.
But she totally knew that she would get a lot of attenton too with something like that? Positive and negative? How does that not make dealing with it harder? Did you see the tweets?
But she totally knew that she would get a lot of attenton too with something like that? Positive and negative? How does that not make dealing with it harder? Did you see the tweets?
that's why she's anonymous, why bother to argue this if you aren't going to even look at what she said
It just seems odd to me that there's so many of these claims all of a sudden, these videos are undeniably getting massive attention, yet there hasn't been any actual proof of these events. Questionable stories and events that don't really seem plausible, lies (shown by her own text messages), and no evidence makes me skeptical. Unfounded rape claims are 4x more common than any other type of unfounded criminal claim. Making an unfounded claim and getting tens / hundreds of thousands of video views and a ton of supportive messages (as well as hate, obviously) makes stories like this seem even more odd. One would figure if there's so many claims, at least one of these people would have gone through the effort to make a formal rape claim through a police report and get tests done. The guy is pretty creepy but there's no basis to call him a rapist

I mean I wouldn't put it past the dude to sexually assault a girl, but I don't see any evidence toward him anally raping a girl, either than her saying he did. I mean shit, I could do almost the same thing. I'm not trying to debunk what this video is about, but it's just odd.
He's a scumbag. Something about that video is not right though. It sounds like a self taped audition.
wow I hope he gets wonderful relationship with a prison inmate unconsentual
He's a scumbag. Something about that video is not right though. It sounds like a self taped audition.
The emotional outbursts kind of contradict that idea, she also did state that she did read it from notes (and you can see she edited multiple takes). I've been in a similar situation, and a thing like this is not easy to just put out there without some planning, raw speaking isn't always easy, especially for such an emotionally loaded topic.
I could be entirely wrong but, something feels off about this. Her rendition of the story seems very unrealistic, and disingenuous. [sp]im not saying sam peppers not a ripe cunt, but he's probably not a rapist[/sp]
that would be awful if she was actually just doing this to support a smear campaign against him then she would be a worse person than he is
that would be awful if she was actually just doing this to support a smear campaign against him then she would be a worse person than he is
Multiple people have come forward with stories of being either raped, sexually assaulted, or coerced in to sending him nude pictures while a minor, and one popular youtuber, lacigreen, made a video on the subject in which she states that she has been in contact with multiple people who have been violated by Pepper and are scared to come forward. One is going to file criminal charges. I assure you, at this point, and especially considering that he has a past of harassing women in a similar way in his videos, he is almost definitely guilty. And look, this isn't directed at you specifically, but it really bothers me that whenever someone has been charged with a crime or alleged people usually assume guilt but when it's rape all the sudden it flips a switch in people's minds and they're like WELL I DUNNO EVIDENCE and it really bothers me.
Be very careful with this, you know SJW are fucking insane people. I'm not saying this didn't happen, I'm saying you should not be to quick to judge a guy based on a random video uploaded to youtube, if she really had been 'raped' do you sincerely think she wouldn't go the the police station and press charge instead of a tumblr post and a youtube video? There are been tons of false rape accusation those last years so be careful with this.
One of the reasons this issue is often so divisive is that it's perfectly realistic that a person would be much more comfortable anonymously posting about it online than getting the actual real world police involved. I don't understand how you would think otherwise, I don't hear about rape that often but often when I do, it's always said victims are likely to be ashamed and afraid to seek help. And of course, the issue of anonymity is huge. She's getting a ton of attention, both support and hateful vitriol, and I'm sure she's glad she stayed anonymous instead of pressing actual charges and potentially having her name come up to the legions of those who would hate her, right or wrong.

Look I know it's easy to be objective and think well if you get raped you should go to the police, but rape is fucking horrifying and scary and traumatizing in a massive, massive way. It's so fucking scary and the thought of the person who did that to you just walking around is so...it just breaks you down completely. And the reality is yes, there are likely hundreds, thousands of women who have been raped and didn't take legal action because they were just that scared. And yes there are false reports of rape, but guess what, there are false reports of murder, theft, arson, kidnapping, assault, and anything else you can name. There is no reason to treat rape all special. And the thought of telling a girl who's just come forward about being raped that you don't know because false reports is so fucking repugnant. Also, why did you put rape in ' marks?

Sorry we don't want someone to be locked up for a crime they didn't commit?
This is literally just a youtube video and a tumblr post, of course we're going to be skeptical. Sorry we don't want someone to be locked up for a crime they didn't commit?
You might've given your position away a bit by saying outright that pepper didn't do it, despite it being unknown if he did do it or not at the time
Dont like the guy but the way she told her story just made it seem really ... fake
This is literally just a youtube video and a tumblr post, of course we're going to be skeptical. Sorry we don't want someone to be locked up for a crime they didn't commit?
I'm sorry, I just don't think that when four separate women have come forward about being raped, assaulted, coerced in to giving nudes when they're a minor, when more are lined up and thinking about posting their confessions, when another is moving to file charges, when a famous youtuber states that they're in contact with these women and they're afraid of talking about it and want to remain anonymous, when the person in question has multiple videos of him sexually harassing women (not just this one), when they're able to provide phone logs, when all that shit is there, it might just be me, but I think it's more than a little reasonable to believe it, and just a little fucking irrational to still cling to 'yeah but false accusations tho'.
Hoping something happens to this guy, his videos sole purpose is to come up with a way to touch a girl or something more sexual, it's creepy.
Lets see sam pepper release a video about that, someone should need a person that knows body language, just proof enough to fuck him
You might've given your position away a bit by saying outright that pepper didn't do it, despite it being unknown if he did do it or not at the time
That's a pretty twisted interpretation of what I said. I'm not saying he didn't do it, I'm saying that we should have good proof he did it before we go up in arms against him.

I'm not saying he didn't do it, I'm saying that we should have good proof he did it before we go up in arms against him.
If that's what you said, then don't explicitly say "Sorry we don't want someone to be locked up for a crime they didn't commit", Because that right there is you outright saying "nah he's innocent". Also:
four separate women have come forward about being raped, assaulted, coerced in to giving nudes when they're a minor, when more are lined up and thinking about posting their confessions, when another is moving to file charges, when a famous youtuber states that they're in contact with these women and they're afraid of talking about it and want to remain anonymous, when the person in question has multiple videos of him sexually harassing women (not just this one), when they're able to provide phone logs
Please, tell me what you think is good enough proof, because that sounds like some pretty fucking good proof to me.

You guys are judging someone over a fucking youtube video and a tumblr post, you need to get your head out your fucking arse.
So what you three are trying to tell me is that if you got raped you'd rather hide under your bed and not go press charge? You guys are judging someone over a fucking youtube video and a tumblr post, you need to get your head out your fucking arse.
First of all, you are also judging someone over a youtube video and a tumblr post. You are accusing this woman of being a liar on nothing. Second of all, it's not 'just a youtube video and a tumblr post', that much is fucking obvious or do I need to list everything that you're conveniently ignoring for the third time this page? There is no way to gauge how someone is going to react to being raped. Y'know what, I like to think I would go press charges, but I don't fucking know that I could because you're dealing with someone who's been raped, someone who, I don't think you get this, has just had their entire world fucking shattered. Like I said in the other thread, I was sexually harassed at school. People constantly asked me really really inappropriate questions and then one person grabbed my ass. I marched right down to the office and told them about it, but you can bet your fucking ass I was scared, and afraid of the repercussions. I was able to but I damn sure wouldn't blame any other woman because she was too afraid to do it in the same situation, and I would take a bullet to the brain before I doubt a woman who was raped because she was too scared to go to the police. So yeah, I do think there's a damn good chance I or any other woman would be too scared, and y'know what? I don't think you know what the fuck you're talking about.

This is especially annoying because the statistics show that sexual assault accusations are far more likely to be true than most other criminal accusations, and the offenses are also still drastically under-reported.

Let's say Butch blew his load in your ass, would you want anyone to know? I wouldn't
either way, this dude seems like a gigantic cunt in general
Please, tell me what you think is good enough proof, because that sounds like some pretty fucking good proof to me.
Rape kits.
Rape kits.
This didn't happen to her last week. A rape kit would do shit-all. When you have this many people saying something, it's just plain stupid to say "But there's still the tiny chance that all of them are lying because they hate men" or some stupid bullshit.
