I think she's looking for a bit of attention
Um, yes? Look I know it's easy to be objective and think well if you get raped you should go to the police, but rape is fucking horrifying and scary and traumatizing in a massive, massive way. It's so fucking scary and the thought of the person who did that to you just walking around is so...it just breaks you down completely. And the reality is yes, there are likely hundreds, thousands of women who have been raped and didn't take legal action because they were just that scared. And yes there are false reports of rape, but guess what, there are false reports of murder, theft, arson, kidnapping, assault, and anything else you can name. There is no reason to treat rape all special. And the thought of telling a girl who's just come forward about being raped that you don't know because false reports is so fucking repugnant. Also, why did you put rape in ' marks?
i can understand not reporting to the police in this case but i cannot understand deciding to go on tumblr and youtube instead. how is that easier
i can understand not reporting to the police in this case but i cannot understand deciding to go on tumblr and youtube instead. how is that easier
Because she can't right now, she took too long. She sent this video out to help the other victims who are, one of them already pressing criminal charges
I think she's looking for a bit of attention
I think this is a terrible post.
Rape accusations aside, can we talk about how incautious and negligent most of the girls are? The one in OP went to Pepper's house at 2 am, after just meeting him--a virtual stranger. Another one was groped by Sam at a public pool or something, and pulled under the water, then exchanged contact info with her supposed violator. Then there's the other girl who made a youtube video about how she went with Sam to the movies--again, after just meeting him in person. I'm not blaming them for being sexually assaulted, before some of you start. I'm just saying, maybe some common sense ought to be promoted.
a woman is raped and people are doubting her because 'sjws' this is exactly why she didn't file a police report
A woman is allegedly raped and people are doubting her because it hasn't been proven. Sorry that I support the notion that people should be innocent until proven guilty.
So you believe the word of a guy who is very interested in saving his ass after a sexual assault scandal, but not the word of someone who opened themselves up to a torrent of hate speech by making their statement. Explain?
It would help if one of the girls in the video came out and said that no, she didn't consent to this. Or the reverse.
i can understand not reporting to the police in this case but i cannot understand deciding to go on tumblr and youtube instead. how is that easier
Anonymity. No real life backlash.
How I see it is, if these allegations are false Sam is still a shitlord and the girls who said he raped them and were lying are too, if they're telling the truth Sam is an even bigger shitlord and I hope he gets what he deserves and my condolences go to those girls. The evidence put forward so far definitely seem like he done it, the confession videos, to me seem real. The fact that his YouTube channel is full of videos like the ass pinching one is a huge factor in why I believe he's done this, that and the Laci Green's video and email pictures. I dunno, hopefully the truth will be uncovered.
wow hope his channel dies and he sent to jail
rich scumbag that profits off youtube videos
It's still stupid to excuse them about not going to the cops or any other of the numerous help organaziations because they were traumatized (and that is completely understandable and I am not trying to argue this) but coming out to anonymous masses where it's most likely that a good percentage will not respond very appropriately is somehow a-ok and not subject to that trauma.
You are asking a question with no real answer. Yes logically you should do that, sadly its not always a logical question. I used to think the same but I highly doubt this is the mindset. "Well I just got raped, better go tell the cops" I would think theres a fuckload more into than that, especially when your case involves someone who has 2 million subscribers and has a much bigger voice than you.
I can't believe the amount of people on the youtube comments who seem to condone Sams behavior and side with him, it's really sad. Also i don't agree that because someone is accused of rape that they are 'guilty until proven innocent' because thats not fair at all. I'm not saying that he hasn't done it, but i will reserve my accusations until i feel theres enough evidence overall to connect him to the said crime.
Would love to see a video from him on this, his social media accounts have been dead recently except twitter with 'friday'
So what you three are trying to tell me is that if you got raped you'd rather hide under your bed and not go press charge? You guys are judging someone over a fucking youtube video and a tumblr post, you need to get your head out your fucking arse.
no, i'm saying that i'm not going to automatically assume that i would be strong willed enough to go report the crime, because i've never been raped before, and don't know how it would affect me. like, it's easy as heck to say you'd go take pictures, and have a laminated report on the rape while you're sitting at your computer, completely level-headed, but that's myopic as fuck.
You are asking a question with no real answer. Yes logically you should do that, sadly its not always a logical question. Quite some thought went into the video. Why not the thought that it might not be very helpful to do it in the first place? Edited: The fucking video is even relinked in a post newer than the one where she says that she wishes she wouldn't have posted the video.
Even IF her story was false/exaggerated, the shear amount of people who have come forward about his antics paints a pretty general picture that he is a creep and asshole.
Even IF her story was false/exaggerated, the shear amount of people who have come forward about his antics paints a pretty general picture that he is a creep and asshole.
Everyone knew he's been a creep and an asshole for years. That's not anything new. That's far from being a rapist however. Until he's actually convicted and there's some solid evidence, he's just a creep and an asshole
Trust but verify. I don't mind trusting her accusation, but i rather have actual evidence and proof before i fully trust her.
It's bad enough that there are still people defending this shitstain, and now people are going as far as just dismissing her as an attention whore? fuck...
You know I really don't like seeing people say that this girl is lying. You can tell just by her voice that she is speaking the truth!!! I have been raped in the past so I get how she feels and it's a scary thing to admit that something that terrible happened. This girl that has been raped by that juvenile delinquent is so brave for speaking up, so many women will not speak up. Seeing as how Sam Pepper raped this women and sexually assaulted several other women, something needs to be done, even if it's just raising awareness about him. There is no excuse to sexually assault a woman or to rape a woman. I am majoring in criminal justice because I want to make a difference. And I know that I will make a difference. But if we all stand together and raise awareness, we can all make a difference together. People like Sam do not deserve to get away with stuff like this. I am appalled that he has been allowed to get away with stuff like this so far. He deserves lifetime in PRISON.

Nonetheless, I agree with the entire "innocent until proven guilty" - the internet is huge, and "internet riots" happen all the time. No one here has been saying the girl is lying, but they would like to see some further proof before fully believing her. Yes, Sam Pepper is a massive cunt/douchebag (it's been known for awhile); but to outright call someone a rapist just because a video was posted isn't really right. Although the people who have been sexually harassed by him (aka the ass pinching "social experiment" and various other instances) should press charges.
who is sam pepper?
Youtuber who's made a bunch of videos where he "pranks" people by doing illegal or extremely dubious things to them such as pinching their butts, locking handcuffs to their wrist and his and promising to unlock it only if they kiss him, asking for random women on the street for a french kiss and forcing himself on them when they don't agree, restraining random women on the street with a lasso (which almost got him beaten up by a group of dudes who intervened) and such. So basically he's doing illegal stuff and pretends it's okay because "it's a prank". He also tried to backpedal from the backlash by making a new video with a woman pinching men butts and claiming it was all a social experiment (which, even if it wasn't backpedaling, is still illegal).

The guilty people get a "get out of jail free card" while some other innocent person is going to jail. I've seen it happen too many times where the guilty go free and innocent get locked up. It can make sense wanting proof, but I have always caught people in their lies. It is so easy to tell when someone is being truthful and when someone is lying. Knowing whether someone is lying or not is a lot simpler than people think. A guy raped me when I was a bit younger and I didn't file against him. And now since I'm older and there were no witnesses there is no solid evidence. Does that mean that he is not a rapist???? YES he is a rapist. But too many people will not believe the word of one woman or one girl. One of my best friends told me about how she was raped. Should I not believe her because there's no solid evidence? Should I tell her that he's not a rapist or shouldn't be called a rapist? So many women cannot provide solid evidence, which is why so many men get away with rape and sexual assault. And the women who can are often too scared to admit it to anyone. I can see where you are coming from, but we all have different views. I can relate to this girl who got raped but people who haven't been raped or sexually assaulted will never be able to see it from our perspective.
You can tell just by her voice that she is speaking the truth!!!
First of all, you signed up today to post in this thread? Second of all, you realize that she even mentioned she's trying to get into the acting industry. Showing just your mouth makes it pretty easy to pretend to be emotionally distressed. Here's a voice recording of me pretending to cry over nacho cheese. oh also possibly/probably a troll?

As unfair as it is, would you rather a world where we start to arrest people on the claim that they're a rapist? Somebody wants revenge on their ex, or something clandestine like that? There's going to be thousands of people who would abuse that kind of legal system. It's the lesser of two evils. At current, yes - lots of people do get away with rape, and that needs to be fought. Personally, I'd like to see developments of new ways to capture evidence of such a thing, but in the other world where an emotionally delivered rape accusation is enough to get somebody locked up, people would begin trying to get non-rapists locked up. It's shitty, but unfortunately, that's the way it has to be until there's better ways to prove it objectively.
oh also possibly/probably a troll?
On that note, anyone that frequently uses multiple ending punctuation marks when you'd think they are being serious just screams out gimmick account to me.
This is in no way in defense of Sam Pepper, for the record. I think his first video should be enough to at least score him some kind of harassment charge. automerge fuck
what a fucking cunt. I need to get offa here before I start saying rant shit ill be in my angry dome
Something about this seems a bit off, I don't know if it's true. Her voice makes it seem like she's acting or exaggerating. He's an ass hat and all, but why wait that long to say something.
