It's funny. If you attend public school you basically surrender your first amendment right for the sake of not causing "unnecessary disruptions" within the classroom. However, the fact that that is able to be translated into faculty telling a kid that he's not allowed to show his nation's flag for the sake of being politically correct is just garbage. This kid is awesome for representing U.S. colors. I'm going to put one up in my dorm actually.

This is just sad. the kid was proud of his nation, that's all. He wasn't racist, he was well spoken, and he was not making a fuzz about it.

I remember something similar here in Sweden a few years ago, not a flag on a bike but it was something about banning patriotism from a school.

I have a feeling he rode up to school and some kids were like "look at that faggot. What nerd has a house sized flag on his bike?" But they're in middle school so all they know how to is complain to teachers.
