Saying the LotR films are bad is the dumbest thing ever. You may dislike them but saying they are bad makes you look like a total idiot. From a cinematographic perspective they are masterpieces.
No, while i will say there are good aspects to those movies, the cinematography is not one of them. The camera work is just flat and boring as fuck. It's like Peter Jackson went to the George Lucas School of "How To Frame Your Shots as Boring as Possible"
Cinemasins is entertainment channel. Most of those "sins" aren't even problems.
I mean yeah that's true, but his videos have got a TON more bitchy than fun lately, it seems.
because tolkien/lotr fans are defensive because deep down they know it's not very good but they love it anyway because they have huge fantasy boners
I liked it. It was flawed, but I still had some fun. But good god the first Hobbit sucked. Long, boring, and even more tonally inconsistent than the 2nd one. Still, even the 2nd Hobbit was just kind of okay. I liked it a lot because I could get past what it did wrong and it felt like it was a bit more sure of itself than the first, but I understand that a lot of people wouldn't like it, so I don't know if I would recommend it. I don't really get the Cinema Sins style humor. Even though it is satirical, knowing real people (like TheSpoonyOne) think about movies like this just drains any fun I have. I try to overlook the flaws in a movie if it is enjoyable, and I find zero fun in picking them apart. [editline]lol[/editline] Or are you referring to the books? Because in that case, of course it won't seem very good. Tolkein was kind of a shit writer, and since they were the trend-setter of fantasy novels, a lot of what they did seems generic an uninspired now.
because tolkien/lotr fans are defensive because deep down they know it's not very good but they love it anyway because they have huge fantasy boners
Uhh not really. The books Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are just very very old. They were like the first successful "normal" fantasy stories. We have just gotten bigger and wider and more complex stories in this genre, therefore LOTR and The Hobbit appear old and "generic". They are still great and the movie adaption of LOTR still remains as one of the best fantasy movies.
Any true Tolkien/LOTR fan should really be fucking hating these movies. I know I do, a lot. I honestly hope Peter Jackson retires now, he's dead to me.
Stop this "any true fan" shit. I'm so sick of this bullshit phrase. I have read The Hobbit and still enjoyed the movies a lot. Now what?

I just check his channel just to laugh at the most minor things he finds just to pick out that aren't even relevant or important for a movie, like for instance, the 3 Batman movies his first sin is "DC Comics". And on this one there's minor things aswell that no one cares at all. The only ones i saw coming were Legolas and like 1 or 3 from the barrels scene. To be honest I find sad that people are taking him seriously and letting him ruin their movies.
To be honest I find sad that people are taking him seriously and letting him ruin their movies.
It's even funnier when they take his videos to justify their hate for a specific movie. Iron Man 3 got this a lot.
Wow i knew FP hated almost everything in the world but never did i expect the hobbit trilogy and The LOTR trilogy to be in the list
The Desolation of Smegma
I enjoyed the movie but I felt it almost got ruined by the absurd love story and the side plot about Gandalf doing a bunch of shit we don't need to see. I was annoyed about the inclusion of Legolas at first but found the action scenes enjoyable enough to not care.
