People hating on this game is retarded tbh, also people complaining about bullet sponge enemies, seems like you want this game to be like call of duty where you kill everything in one shot.
Loot system has it's problems but it does not make this a bad game.
If this game had no upgrade or loot system then you would still complain.

'your opinion is wrong shutup'
not praising =/= outright hating
I severely think its supposed to be played on normal, and then very hard on NG+ like diablo. But a ton of people skipped to vhard and were mad that the enemies were spongy from the get go.
Shame, it's one of those games with satisfying shooting, sounds, gore and etc. but the rest is just borefest.
Lootershooters always looked to me like either a bad FPS trying to be an action RPG, or a bad action RPG trying to be a shooter. The genres really do not combine well. You either have your frantic, fast paced shooter gameplay ruined by loot collecting and bulletsponging, or you have your hack 'n slash ruined by terrible wannabe FPS gunplay.
One word: Borderlands
If done right it's great fun.
Only problem I have is the level design is fucking atrocious.
Nothing is memorable about procedurally generated zones. I've seen the same 6 or 7 areas constantly throughout 3 or 4 completely different levels.
There isn't any real parkouring. In fact, most roofs can't be accessed or are blocked off by invisible walls.
Most missions are outdoors. There are very few indoor sections and most of the interior areas are very repetitive and copy/pasted.
The game has amazing gameplay and replayability, but they should not have went the route they did with the level design. It's uninteresting and way too repetitive, especially since I see similar areas way too many times than I should
I honestly don't get the bullet spongy part, I mean in first one enemies were WAY more bullet spongy and there wasn't any certain weaknesses like in this one where tankier enemies have elemental weakness which is pretty much there just to make you use different weapons instead of just using one "best" weapon.
Shadow Warrior 2 is baby game compared to Shadow Warrior 1 (2013)

who said it was bad? not even TB said it was bad
The only bullet sponge enemy I've faced so far was an elite that was immune to physical damage. I just gave up trying to kill it after using all my ammo to get it almost half way dead.
Just beat the game on the highest difficulty on my first run, it was a lot of fun though... it really was too easy. I would rate this game very highly but there needs to be a much higher difficulty level than this, i died more to falling off the levels than enemies. The bosses did feel spongy though, on the higher difficulty levels they needed faster, more dangerous moves, but all i did was circledodge around them spamming my revolver for 10 minutes and they'd die without putting me on the ropes.
Another criticism is the lack of accurate weapons, everything has at least a sizable cone of fire and it really puts a damper on trying to chain headshots with even the most accurate weapons in the game.

you realize they just updated the game today with higher difficulties above insane that makes the bullet-sponge complaints actually true now?
insane+2 and +3 are a joke. they're practically forcing you to play co-op because soloing is nigh impossible unless you want to spend 10 minutes per fight running away, healing, going back in, rinse and repeat because a white mob can shave off 60 health per hit.

Why do you seem to be so disgruntled? Just don't play those difficulties then?

or i can say what i want considering this is a product that i paid for?
or i can say what i want considering this is a product that i paid for?
You're whining about a free addition that does not fit your play style, do you see how petty that is? It's not like they broke the game by adding spongy difficulty mode.
What I thought was funny was on Facepunch I read some poster say something like "Wow, there's no to very little invisible walls from what I can tell, you can go practically anywhere!" And I found that to be a huge crock of horse shit, I went to climb onto a fucking roof and some invisible wall was keeping me from doing it, a mere 2 minutes into the game. Not to mention the collision in the game is a fucking joke, I keep trying to jump or climb onto stuff I'm obviously supposed to be and I'm clipping through it or being violently shoved away for no reason at all.

A free shit sandwich is still a shit sandwich.

Everyone complained it was too easy.
Now the games balanced and insane is a proper fight now.
Guess we can't be okay with that
