Such an improvement over the last one. I can't wait to see the next fallout on this engine.
Just a quick question because I haven't played any of the games: Does the series have a linear storyline?
Theres no way in hell a dragon just showed up and ate a giant, it gets killed and then another one shows up. I call minor scriptage, not in the actual game itself, but for the sake of the demo they showed us
That giant got his shit fucked up so much. That was the moment I said fuck yes, this game is an instant buy.
Just a quick question because I haven't played any of the games: Does Oblivion have a linear storyline?
They're semi-linear with a primary quest and hundreds of secondary quests. There are also guilds that have their very own stories. Because of that it could take several days to complete the game, it took me like a week to finish Oblivion because I jumped right out of the primary quest line on the first quest and killed someone which somehow lead into a guild and a bunch of exploring :v:
I want to be a dwarf.
Dwarves are extinct in TES series I think
Dwarves are extinct in TES series I think
From what I recall they are rumored to be extinct but there are hints at their existence.
I love almost everything about this game...but this video makes me wonder a bit. For instance, when the giant gets dropped by the dragon, he's just kinda like, "Looks like I'm falling, whatever," and he remains statue still as he plummets to his death. It makes me wonder why they don't work on things like that (that you'll probably see happen, if not a lot, then at least occasionally). Like, make him flail his arms or scream or something. Otherwise it ruins both the hilarity of the moment and the realism. Also I can't wait to see what this is gonna look like on a high end PC.

If you watch closely you can see his legs curl up more and more as he falls, and though it does look a bit stiff still, I'm sure it could easily be moddable, you know how Elder Scrolls is

"heh this looks pretty cool, this guy is screwed he just fucked with a mammoth and a gia- HOLY SHIT DRAGON"
From what I recall they are rumored to be extinct but there are hints at their existence.
And dwarves in TES aren't short, they're actually normally sized, which is something I never got.
This looks great, I really wish they would add coop to the game though. Such an open world, but only to be explored by a lone adventurer.
Cannot wait for mods like this:
And this is why I don't touch mods for Bethesda games
I absolutely cannot wait.
Yea, ragdoll physics were never Bethesda's strong suit.
yeah there are mods like that but there are also things like unnecessary violence that greatly improves the combat system or the lost spires that adds an extra 20 hours of gameplay
4:20 for Wilhelm scream.
wow this looks very good its almost scary how much you'll be able to see if they're telling the truth about how much content there is
I never even played any Oblivion game before, nor even knew what they were about. But this, this makes me want to buy it.
Is it just me or is that hud not too appealing? It'll get modded but, eh.

[editline]7th June 2011[/editline]
Is it just me or is that hud not too appealing? My only complaint is the large text that appears above the middle of your screen when you do something like absorb a dragon's soul.
wow this looks very good its almost scary how much you'll be able to see if they're telling the truth about how much content there is
Something in me just doesn't believe that there will be 130+ dungeons, but yeah.
It looks so pretty and immersion on the xbox, I wonder if it will look even better on the PC. :swoon: I hope you can see your body when you look down. I always love the little things like that.
Time to start making my list of things I need. 1. Money 2. New Power Supply 3. New Graphics Card 4. New Pair of Pants because I just shat myself.
I didn't really enjoy oblivion because of it's buggy NPCs, pretty boring fighting system, terrible voice acting etc. This game looks amazing however, hopefully it will be good.
List of the requirements yet?
Holy fuck, I need this game.
