Not really. The three confirmed guilds are College of Winterhold (Mages), The Companions (Warriors), and the Thieves Guild.
I thought he meant three MAIN factions as in directly related to the storyline, not three as in there are only three in the entire game.

There were two factions pretty much in the Main Story for Oblivion.
and before you get pissed off at me or whatever you people want to do, I'm a fucking die-hard fan of TES. I had Morrowind before Oblivion was even announced. So now that that disclaimer's out, I'm sorry but I just can't keep up this optimism I was trying to sustain despite massive evidence that this game would be tripe.
You know a game is going to be awful if they can't even cover up the fact that they've cut even more out of the game than oblivion did to morrowind
(in morrowind there were about thirteen joinable factions, in oblivion there were about 5-6 and in this game there will be three. in morrowind there were 23 skills, in oblivion there were 21, and in skyrim there are fucking 18. they've also done away with the class system which had no problems with it and didn't "limit creativity" since you could make your own)
"fuck skyrim"
literally the only cool thing in this game is the announcement of the draughr making a cameo from Solstheim which shows they haven't completely pissed on what used to be a beautiful and unique world
I feel the same way but I'll still blindly buy it like every other game Bethesda has put out. probably not even gonna like it but will but tons of hours into it anyway just like I have with everything since Future Shock
lmao why are these nerds whining about how they're not getting to romance some Gay Brothers Lovers Of The Nether Realm or w.e
ok so your faction that no sensible person even cares about isnt going to be in every game in the series holy shit call the IP police
they're making the game more accessible to people who aren't losers and don't give a fuck about 100 small things they can join

look at bethesda's past. it's always been targeted to nerds, I guarantee you aren't going to be able to get your average bro gamer into daggerfall
The only thing that I didn't like about oblivion was that there wasn't enough content and that there were only major battles in dungeons where there is dark.
First day buy for me, I hope it wont be a shitty port to PC though.
There is no chance in hell that that Dragon encounter wasnt scripted, it even landed on that tower.
blah, i bet the hype will detroy the game for me like other games i have been looking forward too... :I
Honestly all I want is Morrowind on a better engine, change nothing but combat and graphics, and not even graphics need work honestly. That game was immense, I've still yet to do maybe even half the quests and so many places I've not explored. Oblivion lasted me a week or two in comparison to literally years.
Shiny rocks... Yep it's a bethesda game. :D not gonna complain though it looks loads better than Fallout nv and oblivion graphically.
Then again it's on 360
I can't wait

Well I would think this dragon is scripted for E3. Imagine demoing this game waiting for a real dragon encounter.

Like said before, Console and PC versions are exactly the same, except the consoles have less/no AA

If they would redo morrowind on this engine the game would be like two blu-ray discs, because the content would be ENORMOUS on todays standards. That's not practical in any way, because the costs would go through the roof and in the end it would cost more money than it would produce.
Even if the did a whole new game with the same amount of content that Morrowind had, it would be the same thing. It would cost like a mother fucker and developing it would be impractical.
It's a nice idea, but it won't happen. Ever. There will never be another Morrowind.
Deal with it.
Because all I'm seeing is more and more shit cut out every game
I don't wanna buy a game that has 3/4 of the stuff of the previous one for a higher price
:downs: Shit guys HL2 has a LOT less weapons and levels than Half-Life 1 that must mean its dumbed down shit for casuals just getting into the series :downs:
Also, for your little morrowind being unique argument, you are correct. Correct in the fact that out of all the elder scrolls games, Morrowind is the ODD ONE OUT. Todd Howard even said so himself, that in morrowind they were going for something incredibly different and wacky.

I mean how it landed on that Tower or crashed on the ground.
I am so pumped for this, been waiting yeaaaaars.
I mean how it landed on that Tower or crashed on the ground.
Its no more unbelievable than Radiant A.I. or having an animation and behavior that makes people sit down in chairs and eat.
I mean how it landed on that Tower or crashed on the ground.
It's not impossible to implement the dragon animations to all of the generic dragons, you know.
Im just pessimistic about it because it looks to perfect, too good to be true. I mean that was a really immersive fight and its supposed to happen everywhere and be non scripted? Dayum.

That I can definitely understand. If Bethesda can pull off all of their promises for the game, I think it can easily win game of the year (at least for me).
I hope dragons are a bit rare and challenging.
I hope dragons are a bit rare and challenging.
They aren't rare, I seem to recall there being about 100 of them, or they don't stop respawning. Something like that.

Definitely, this looks like a really fun game.

Didnt they say they are random and infinite?
Definitely, this looks like a really fun game.

Yeah I think so, I don't exactly remember.
Fighting dragons looks like a lot of fun, can't wait for the game.
Anybody else think "The companions" is a terrible name for a guild?
guys they just showed the 30 minutes gameplay footage live on Justin.tv but i missed the first 15 minutes
Anybody know where to watch it recorded?
Clarification: they said 3 MAJOR factions, which was Warrior / Mage / Thief's guild in the previous games too. Less obvious factions such as Dark Brotherhoood ARE CONFIRMED.
