Its a very appropriate subject to argue over. The majority of people in this world are affected by religion. Discussing its negative and positive effects with people who do believe in religion is good because it hopefully challenges peoples perspectives. This is a forum, it is for discussion, and this is a thread with religion as its topic. The reason they bitch at eachother is because they clearly believe in very different perspectives. Atheists usually become angry at Creationists because people who spread the word of creation are doing terrible things. They corrupt peoples knowledge. If you want to believe the earth was created 10,000 years ago, keep your horrendous idiocy to yourself, don't dare spread it to other people or your children. It isn't a trivial argument that should be "taken somewhere else", this matter should be discussed whenever it can. Creationist in power are harming the education system and general public knowledge on what's actually the truth (Biological evolution, the evolution of the universe etc.) If I lived in Texas when the vote passed to allow the teaching of "alternative views to evolution" in [B]science[/B] classes, I think I'd have a pretty good reason to argue with creationists.
