I'm tempted to give into hope, but the thing is, it could just be a legal slip or some type of site design mishap. Maybe, if Kinect has a role in the game (it undoubtedly will), it's to facilitate the listing of Kinect specific features. The inner hopeful is screaming "PC port!", but my ruggedly handsome pessimist is saying "it's a mistake."
well remember that little tidbit of info found at the bottom of the Halo 4 page "system requirements forthcoming"
That could just as easily mean "You need a 20GB Xbox 360 hard-drive, an Xbox Live Gold account for online play" etc though... I should stop being so pessimistic.
Oh, good. I think he finally got the point that he is wrong, and needs to update his knowledge of the Halo universe and canon.
See, posts like this are why I can't fathom why Microsoft refuses to allow Halo to return to the PC. The Xbox, as a platform, doesn't need Halo anymore. The 360 is now what the PS2 was last cycle. Durango seems likely to follow in its footsteps. The real key to using Halo to make money, is to release it on the PC as well. Maybe do a little magic for Halo 5, so PC and Durango players can play together at certain points (playlist settings, custom games, campaign, etc). Microsoft needs a brand to survive, it thrives off of massive ecosystems. They want Xbox to expand beyond the box. The best way to do that, is to take the cultural milestone it facilitated and apply it to something everyone has.
It still befuddles me (yes, befuddle), that Microsoft, proprietors of money-earning with a number of dick moves over the years, still hasn't spread the love to PCs as well when it comes to the gaming scene. They almost entirely leave it up to all the different publishing and developing companies and put all their major first-party titles out on the Xbox systems with the rare as hell port to PC here or there. Considering they create Windows and keep trying to link it to Xbox Live with the GFWL and other shit, you'd think they'd actually bother trying to expand and share between both PC and Xbox. But nope, their hardware teams just make the OSes and the first-party developers are stuck with the consoles.
The game literally begins in a war room. I never said that, I said they would listen to the higher ups. Do you even read posts before you whine about them?
Can you please stop neckbearding and just enjoy the video?
About a time they introduce portable Light Machinegun to the game.
About a time they introduce portable Light Machinegun to the game.
I like all the good new ideas 343 is introducing, they truly are people who loved the previous Halo games and wanted to build upon those
huh, just got back from a couple hours of reading halo lore on the wiki. never realised how fucked up the ONI and UNSC is. also never knew that spartan 2's were kidnapped as children and replaced by flash clones who died shortly after. Ive heard a couple people mention fascism in halo before, but was never versed well enough in the lore to understand what they were talking about. I do now
Looks like great fun. The graphics look very nice, and then railgun looks fun as fuck tbh. Also, anyone else feel like playing Halo: Reach now?
The gameplay of Halo 4 seems to be a lot more similar to Halo 3 than it did to Reach. Reach just felt... different.
The gameplay of Halo 4 seems to be a lot more similar to Halo 3 than it did to Reach. I mean it's hard going back to Halo 3 after you have Sprint,Jet packs,Assassinations and such. Custom games never changed though.
Maybe it's just me being used to the Halo 3 sounds and all but I didn't like the sounds too much, they're OK and I could put up with them when playing the game but to me they just don't fit. I'm so used to the distinct sound the sniper has, pistol, and the rocket launcher which sounds like a big laser rifle in the video. I do like the DMR sound though.
Not to mention the Invasion game mode which in my opinion is the funnest possible game mode on Spire.
What I'm NOT sure of is the railgun since that is the most un UNSC thing in the games since the sparrowhawk in Halo wars.
http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Model_99_Special_Application_Scoped_Rifle It's not a Halo Wars thing, be happy? :v:
I am happy to get Halo 4 for the xbox. I have always played it on that format so, it bothers me not. Also dubstep, with Halo? Not really a match made in heaven.
It's a lot more fitting than for say CoD. hell you know what the song wasn't my cup of tea but i can't say it was completely awful
Dr. Halsey didn't know about the SPARTAN IIIs until Halo Ghosts of Onyx, but she clearly knew about NOBLE In ONI Sword Base and The Package. Cortana was in orbit in The Pillar of Autumn when the battle of Reach started. The Pillar was in orbit when the battle of Reach was ending. The Long Knight of Solace could have been shot down by super MAC's. Master Chief was not in cyro on the Pillar. To name a few.
Bungie Canon trumps book Canon. They're the creator of the series. Anyways, Halsey doesn't know Noble team are Spartan IIIs according to Supplemental materials, she doesn't find out until later. [editline]9th August 2012[/editline]
Um, no leader was ever acknowledged, they were never briefed by a higher up or anything, it was just them in the loading bay with the gunnery sergeant.
Buck was their team leader. It establishes that in the opening cutscene.
The gameplay of Halo 4 seems to be a lot more similar to Halo 3 than it did to Reach. The #1 thing I hated about reach was that it wasn't canon to any of the books. Complete bull shit.
The differences between a Spartan II and a Spartan III are pretty obvious, one is a short 10-12 year old with reactive camouflaging armor, the other is a 7 foot tall super human wearing a tank.
Those are really cool.

Reach was great! It integrated systems and gameplay elements from other games into Halo and still kept the same feel of the series!. Oh and really? People still think Reach wasn't canon because it conflicted with that terrible book Fall of Reach? Even after Bungie has said on multiple occasions that when something from the games conflict with the books, the games take priority and override the them. Spartan III's in my opinion are just glorified ODSTs with active camouflage.

I'm not questioning reaches gameplay elements, at least single player, I hated the multiplayer. I'm just saying it wasn't cannon with the books like it should of been. They should have followed the Spartans that went groundside to defend the orbital MAC generators, instead of following a group of Spartan "III"'s that weren't actually Spartan III's. And the Spartan III's were supposed to be just that, disposable suicide mission soldiers. Thats why they weren't given armor that would make them indestructible like the II's got.
I'm glad they went back to the old health system, the one in Reach was awful.

The whole thing how Spartan III's were disposable suicide soldiers was also beyond retarded since they were made to be more cost effective then Spartan II's. If your still mad about Reach conflicting with the books the new revised versions fix the dates, oh wait they didn't, they just added more spelling makes and grammatical errors.

The Spartan III's were supposed to be disposable, that was their perk. They were created in half the time, half the cost, and with twice as many.
That still does not account for the fact it would rip apart your ear and cause your arms to tear off, but once again; Halo has begun to disregard canon and completely fucked over the story recently.
i'm sorry there's a difference between a personnel railgun and a fucking howitzer shit dog it doesn't even make that much sound, there's no explosion so why would it even make sound to begin with other than the projectile moving through air?
Oh, good. I think he finally got the point that he is wrong, and needs to update his knowledge of the Halo universe and canon.
No, my internet cut out dip shit. [editline]9th August 2012[/editline] Jesus this HUEHUEHUE HE SO DUM I SO MUCH BETAR thing you have going on over a fucking video games story is pathetic. I love that rail gun sound reeeeeee, KER-PAH

That wouldn't be an issue though because of a Spartans suit.
No, it was stated that without ear protection the rail gun could make you go deaf if you are within thirty meters.
does it really matter
