I don't quite get why you'd try to argue that a book based on a series of games, written by someone who wasn't in the team of developers, would be considered more canon than a game from the series, made by the creators of the series. Come on, now. That's just illogical and downright silly.
I'm sick of all this dubstep being in places it shouldn't.
Your comment would make sense if this WAS dubstep, which it isn't. It's actually called electro house. If the mindless asshole in you came to stop for one second this sounds nothing like dubstep then maybe you'd realise this isn't dubstep. Does it really matter that much to you?
Noble Team, excluding Jorge, were all well within their 20s, and not to mention they were wearing a special variant of MJOLNIR armor.
Which is bullshit, The only Spartan III's in their 20's was Tom and Lucy, and they were with Kurt on Onyx training the next generation of Spartan III's, they weren't ever on reach. I really wish reach's story was better.
The weapons sounds feel kind of off, probably because old time weapons sound different than they always have (take for instance the Sniper Rifle, I'm used to how it's always sounded) Though I like the new Spartan Laser sound, it sounds better than the original. The original sounded like someone hit a piece of metal with a baseball bat and played it over itself 4 times. The thing I'm digging most about Halo 4 are the new armour abilities.
I hope this comes to PC.

That being said, they were in their 20s given that Alpha company were the first Spartan-IIIs. Tom and Lucy were from Beta company.
No, my internet cut out dip shit. Jesus this HUEHUEHUE HE SO DUM I SO MUCH BETAR thing you have going on over a fucking video games story is pathetic.
Wow dude, no need to be a dick. Did I ever say you're dumb? Nope! But your knowledge of Halo lore, official canon, and universe needs some brushing up. You need to stop complaining about the simplest things, and being a dick towards others when they do know what they are talking about. I am pathetic because I am knowledged in a franchise in the industry I work in? Not to mention that i'm in an active playtest of Halo 4 and it's my job to know what is canon and what is not so I can provide feedback.
Well, not with Halo 4. 343 is going to be keep close tabs with Novel authors so they don't do anything that would contradict the game, and visa versa.
Yeah, Bungie Canon and Novel canon pre 343 were separate. Post 343 Game and Novel canon are one.
While you won't need to read he novels to understand stuff that is happening in Halo 4 since it will be explained in game, but they're a good read anyways.

I won't push this anymore, my point is I think Reach would have been better if had followed the Spartan II's that defended the Mac gun generators.
No, you are pathetic because of your elitist attitude over a video game.
How is he being elitist for knowing things you don't?
No, you are pathetic because of your elitist attitude over a video game.
Hmm, I never knew having a better understanding of fictional universe than someone who for the most part, doesn't know what they are talking about, the such person complains about the smallest things then starts being rude to others makes me an elitist. I'll try to be less "superior" in my knowledge of Halo next time.

I never complained about the smallest things, I said Halo, although an amazing game with an amazing story, has a lot of plot inconsistencies and holes. I proceeded to be lynched by a bunch of people. 3. You could be less of a prick about it.
1. No, you are an elitist for placing yourself on a pedestal for your apparent game knowledge.
What? I don't place myself on a pedestal for my knowledge of a video game. I am part of the Halo Community, nothing more nothing less.
2. This is one of the few things I considered made sense, the Spirit never made it back to human space and thus could never tell anyone the flood existed. They were shown to have military organization like the marines, ODST gave a small team of ODST's led by a gunnery sergeant a demolitions expert and a sniper. Dr. Halsey didn't know about the SPARTAN IIIs until Halo Ghosts of Onyx, but she clearly knew about NOBLE In ONI Sword Base and The Package. Cortana was in orbit in The Pillar of Autumn when the battle of Reach started. The Pillar was in orbit when the battle of Reach was ending. The Long Knight of Solace could have been shot down by super MAC's. Master Chief was not in cyro on the Pillar. To name a few.
May I just add that many of the things you were complaining about are false as it is.
3. You could be less of a prick about it.
I am being a prick how? You are arguing with the people who are right, and getting mad, dumb, and rude towards them. How do you expect us to act in return? You want us to respect your views and "less of a prick" to you being wrong? Stop being a prick to us!
Jesus PinkPanzer. Even if you were right, you'd still be the giant prick in the situation for being such a hypocrite. The fact that you're wrong about it all and debating your incorrect facts on the Halo universe from one of the go-to guys for Halo on the entire fucking board of Facepunch just takes the fucking cake. Not to mention nearly everyone in this thread has disagreed with you and has presented facts.

The fuck is going on...
It's even more hilarious because our good buddy Spartan is agreeing with Panzer.
I'm only agreeing with the stuff that I also believe about Halo's canon
The fuck is going on...
Halo fans argueing over the lore, they are not usually that civil about it
The UNSC guns you get in the game are from the Infinity which has no spartans on it. Not to mention MC is pretty much the last spartan that anyone knows of so they would not be made for them. [editline]8th August 2012[/editline] Then again, ever since Halo Wars (or ODST, whatever came first), Halo canon has pretty much collapsed into a convoluted mess that does not make any sense. *Sigh*
What the fuck are you even talking about? Nothing you're saying makes any sense.
snip wrong thread
Then again, ever since Halo Wars (or ODST, whatever came first), Halo canon has pretty much collapsed into a convoluted mess that does not make any sense. *Sigh*
maybe instead of ranting about these games over and over you could actually provide some insight as to how they broke their own canon
maybe instead of ranting about these games over and over you could actually provide some insight as to how they broke their own canon
Actually he did earlier in the thread, but they were not very concrete
Actually he did earlier in the thread, but they were not very concrete
I must have accidentally skipped over them when I was sifting through the mounds of shit posts
maybe instead of ranting about these games over and over you could actually provide some insight as to how they broke their own canon
Yeah, he did But his "proof" was vastly incorrect, doesn't follow canon, or is just simply dumb.
iam glad they have all three rifles now, also finaly they added a shoulder fired LMG
I'm sick of all this dubstep being in places it shouldn't.
Dubstep is horrible. As soon as it kicked in, I instinctively closed off the window. It's only a matter of time before it ends up in the trailers to medieval games and strategy games.
