Of course lets all not forget that this is the very start of what the PS4 can do. This is what the 360 looked like on launch [t]http://www.2-game.be/games/Project%20Gotham%20Racing%203%201.jpg[/t] And this is it right now [t]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120417131721/gearsofwar/images/6/6d/TheNewLambentDrone.jpg[/t][t]http://www.fable3.nl/images/screenshots/Smoker_720.jpg[/t]
I agree with this, but then put those games in motion and enjoy your aliasing, fps limits and lack of gpu intensive graphic features. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
Not until games switch from raster graphics to ray-tracing.
Yeah, out with the Rasta graphics.
I agree with this, but then put those games in motion and enjoy your aliasing, fps limits and lack of gpu intensive graphic features.
They put so much blur on them I'm sure it's fine. Though more devs should atleast throw in FXAA or SMAA at a minimum.
But it doesn't look fine. I just clicked those images he linked and I can see aliasing.
It was a joke. I was saying that they slap some bloom and blur on it and consider it solved.
Wow, the PS4 doesn't seem to be much of an upgrade from the PS3. That looks similar to some games that have already been released.
This is because the power needed to improve looks rises exponentially.
This is because the power needed to improve looks rises exponentially.
Not really, Its all down to diminishing returns.
Playstation 4 looks promising Mind you it doesn't look as good as the PC, but the fact that there even exists a video for comparison says quite alot about the Ps4
Not really, Its because doubling the polycount no longer has dramatically noticable effects.
Well yes, but his point is to make something look that much better requires so much more processing. The fact that doubling the polygons doesn't do that anymore is simply an example of it. You need to move onto other systems to enhance the visuals versus pure numbers.
honestly, was this supposed to surprise anyone?
honestly, was this supposed to surprise anyone?
Nope, its just a bit dissapointing.
I blame unreal
Holy fuck, not trying to be fan boy, but the differences are so fucking huge! (obvi) I still have the Samaritan demo on file and this is still the same caliber (hang me) but piratical. I welcome all and new particle effects because Mmmmmmmmhmmmmm
0:49 no anti-aliasing what is this 1998?
TBH the PS4 version still looks fucking amazing. If you were to watch one, then the other, it's unlikely most people would be able to note any real differences. Obviously when you see them side by side, the PC version looks far superior, but that's always going to be the case.
0:49 no anti-aliasing what is this 1998?
Antialiasing has always been demanding due to it literally just rendering extra samples on edges, which is difficult for almost any generation. The best we can do for free is FXAA or SMAA. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
TBH the PS4 version still looks fucking amazing. 0:49 That door looks pretty bad on the ps3 version.

They are going to milk this particle system way to much, I can just see it.

Developers need time to learn how to de-saturate more.
