Sean Murray said if they don't then someone is going to tear apart the game to make mods for it anyway, not that that is a yes but they are/were at least thinking about it.
if they let you mod the game I'll probably see how it looks without the color filter, not a big fan of it tbh

thats being optimistic, I know of plenty of games with poor moddability to this day, official tools help a LOT. Unless he means the engine is super open like you can find shit super easy in folders etc like games like terraria and source I wouldn't count on it tbh

Well it's their own engine so I wouldn't doubt much is hard to access. But yeah I agree it's still being optimistic

One of the main points for this game's art direction is bringing back old whimsical scifi styles. But yeah it would be cool if mod it to that extent.

There aren't cities, I think the most dense they said it can get is like a small settlement. But they are all enterable and should contain residents/workers. There are other things other than nature too like ruins left by the precursor race as well as monoliths and other artifacts.
looking at someone talking about it the dev sounds crazy to me again in what he said. Is it true that the game has like 1 in a million shot of even having animals? and that 90% are "barren"

Idk if I'm gonna be interested in this it doesn't sound appealing to me, I'll just see what people think and wait for competitors I suppose
It looks interesting with the ships and lasers and shit but it sounds like it could be a lot of empty play spaces
