Co-op - "it's about the third reich's desperate attempt to make an army in the final stages of WWII" Oh, so it'll be about them conscripting as many soldiers as possible and you and your friend are some of your conscripts. Maybe you'll end up almost like the foil of the American soldiers. They could even have the story end right on D-Day, with you fighting the Americans on Omaha Beach. Nope, WWII zombies. It could still be good, but eh.
IMO I prefer if we get to play as the Axis like the Germans, Japanese or the Italians, playing as the Americans in most of the CODs has kinda gotten stale to me at his point.
Yeah, I don't that would do very well.
My big question is, how will they include marijuana in this one, or will they?

"But to make factions work you have to play as the Axis. In no way are we going to glorify that position but we also can’t shy away from it."
hmm [editline]26th April 2017[/editline] too bad it's only for multiplayer
I hope weapons are faction specific in multiplayer. If there's Germans with M1 Garands or some bull shit I wont buy
I'm really happy tbh, this will ease back into an era of historical shooters which will hopefully inspire others to use new and varied settings.
idk what fuck yall on BUT THIS SHIT GOT ME HYPE YO. BIG RED. 1. TIGHT GRAPHICS. KILLIN NAZIS. WHAT MORE CAN YOU NEED!?
How about something ACTUALLY new that wasn't done like 50 times already during the whole WW2 craze years ago this time with just better coating? I don't mind the whole "return to roots" thing but I'd like some fresh new ideas too. You can't build your game on nostalgia alone.
that breathing though lmao
You play the game as Louis "Big Lungs" Harrison
I don't really mind that it's nothing particularly new. I'm a sucker for WWII shooters because I grew up playing them and this looks pretty convincingly like a modernized classic COD game. I think I'll keep my eye on this one.

It's not so much the settings as it is the lack of anything new. You can still take something old and make it new again. Hopefully this game can prove that.
Really disappointed to see Zombies as coop.
Really disappointed to see Zombies as coop.
its the only thing they can do right, because they just piggyback off treyarchs formula
Really disappointed to see Zombies as coop.
Still don't know if it's the typical wave-based survive forever gameplay, and the leaked marketing kinda suggest it's not. I'm thinking it's gonna be something like a co-op campaign or similar with a Zombies story as the focus.

A good amount of people that buy this will have never touched a single one of those games. As long as the story is decent unlike some recent attempts at a generic WW2 shooter, it's really not that unreasonable.

Why not some resistance guys in Poland and you have to weasel your way through Warsaw as the uprising goes tits up? How about Chinese insurgents as you deal with the occupying Japanese? But no. Zombies. Again.
Looked really nice, but as ive said before. Aside from seeing D-Day, I don't want to be a GI in Normandy yet again.

The fact the German tanks are painted grey tells me they have little interest in historical accuracy. (+ those stukas lmao)
Sledgehammer has announced there will be no auto-health regeneration
I found this on pvplive, but I can't verify it for either singleplayer or multiplayer. If its for multiplayer, that brings up a lot of questions on what they've changed. Additionally, they added what could either be Operations: COD edition, or like Killzone's objective based multiplayer, which I can't imagine works well with only 12 to 16 player matches, so maybe they've upped the player count in some modes. I'm interested in seeing more at E3 about the multiplayer.
The fact the German tanks are painted grey tells me they have little interest in historical accuracy. (+ those stukas lmao)
Shoulder holsters being superduper common too. And I could have sworn I saw one of their gaiters on backwards.

As much as i'll be interested in it because WW2 is the shit. I just would rather see Italy or North Africa, Anzio, Monte Cassino and the Gustav line has barely been touched and have all the same toys you'd see in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany.

American at the Siegfried Line Brit at the Winter Line Pole during Warsaw Uprising Aussie during the Race for Rangoon German in final defense of Berlin
Imagine making a game like Advanced Warfare and then being told nope you gotta drop all of that and make Saving Private Ryan: The Video Game
What if they wanted to make it though
Compared to WaW this looks pretty shit (in terms of the trailer, not graphics)
Problem with making a German campaign is that people will no doubt see it as an attempt to glorify the Nazis, even if the character is just a young, conscripted lad. A lot of people today are still locked in the mindset that every single German was a hardcore Nazi with a boner for murder, which couldn't be farther from the truth.
