Are you sure? Sully dies in Uncharted 1
Sully dies in Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2 and 3 take place before it and Uncharted 4 takes place after it
actually wait a minute what. Does Sully show up alive again in Uncharted 1? Or does he just randomly show up alive in Uncharted 2? It's been a looong time.
Uh no. Have you even played any of the Uncharted games?

(many of these are comics and such)
Uh no. Have you even played any of the Uncharted games?
I'm so confused. I remember Sully dying in Uncharted 1 then when I was playing Uncharted 2 he was alive so I thought whatever must be a prequel but then Elena knew Drake and oh god I am so confused.
Oh he doesn't die in Uncharted 1 my bad I can't really remember that game too well.
Yeah Sully got shot but appeared later he didn't die. Sully's too great to pass up
That's nice to hear, I hope it holds true. It'd be fantastic to see these kinds of graphics and dynamics in 60fps and 1080p.
Also, if it's like the first three games, the cutscenes will be prerendered anyways and will have no framerate drops.
This time around they say they're doing realtime cutscenes so they can have seamless transitions instead of cuts or black fades.

Can you provide a source to that? And what do you mean "instead of cuts or black fades"? Those are cinematic elements, and cuts are even present in this very video.
Also the pre-rendered cutscenes were in place to allow loading of the next level while the cutscene was running, giving the illusion of a seamless game. How are they going to solve that?
I love Uncharted and all but this demo was a little underwhelming. Nothing interesting really happens besides the gun fight. For the previous games they'd always show off some of the set pieces like the cruise ship which always made me think "shit I want to play that".
Bear in mind this video is still only an early build and they're probably saving some of the bigger stuff closer to release considering the game is still over a YEAR AWAY FROM RELEASE.

pretty sure it was confirmed that sully is in UC4 isn't there an early teaser with Nate talking to Sully in audio?
The sound mixing for Drake's voice (and in general, to be honest) was pretty off. I hope the story in 4 is better than in 3. That's the biggest reason I loved 2 so much :v:
I wish they'd manage to do uncinematic 60fps. That would play gorgeously, but i'd rather have locked 30 than unlocked 30~50, so i don't care if they're managing 40 or so.
Uncharted 4 makes it a whooping 2 games i'm interested in so far to play on this system. Not really convinced to buy a PS4 yet.
Yeah, whenever Drake gets shot at, he's actually dodging the bullets (ie. luck). When the screen fully turns grey and Drake is shot again, then his luck just ran out.
This sort of explanation always bothered me, since enemies themselves can often but not always take several shots without much issue and visible blood effects before they drop, protective vest of some sort or no vest, but the moment Drake's luck runs out, a single bullet does him in instantly no matter what despite every game making it seem like he's getting injured when he's shot at. Drake must have the luck of Indiana Jones and the constitution of a noodle in comparison.

Have you played the Uncharted games? I would honestly not be surprised if there was a supernatural explanation for Drakes luck (and simultaneous lack of luck). Every situation is guaranteed to ALMOST kill him, but have him just barely avoid horrible death.
Also Drake does take bullets occasionally if I recall my playthrough correctly. He can take an injury.
It looks like the cutscenes might be seamless now compared to the last games where they were pre-recorded.
Also was that Troy Baker at the end?
The majority of the cutscenes in the former games, if not all of them, were in-engine as well. They just don't blend right back into gameplay like 4 (so far) does.

Well of course they were in-engine, but they were pre-rendered. It'll be hard to blend that into gameplay.

all of the cutscenes in max payne 3 within the levels (not at the beginning/end) were all ingame and they blended pretty perfectly. I don't think it's that difficult to master.

But if they were in-game, that's entirely different. I'm not sure what you're saying here.

wow
he looks like a completely different person. even in uncharted 3, he was difficult to recognise compared to 1 and 2
If I remember correctly, that was a glitch where the wrong LOD model would load.

That looks more like him.
I like this look for him, it's kinda less "stylized" and exaggerated I guess.
