thats the joke
oh haha i forgot its manibogi :^)
Y'know there was a time when this word wasn't being used into absolute destruction by neckbearded fedora-wearing twats and the actual meaning wasn't stupid or exaggerated beyond belief for the sake of comedy.
"Friendzone" nowadays is used to describe any instance where a guy asks a girl out (just to have sex with her) and is rejected.
It used to mean a guy being friends with a girl, falling for her, asking her out, and being turned down while still wanting to be friends. It was never anything other than that. It was short and innocent.
It's ridiculous how it's been stripped of that simple context.
"but why does it need a label"
Why does ANYTHING need a label? It's just easier to describe if it has a label, saves you the trouble of describing it since people will know what the term itself means.

I dont know why they call it the friend zone.
I wouldn't want to be friends with them.
