I like it!
That's a lot of sand..
Sand. It's everywhere! GET USED TO IT! :D
That actually doesn't look terrible. [editline]09:10AM[/editline] Ehhhh, except the prince in the first Prince of Persia wasn't a badass at all. I mean, he could do badass things, but he didn't look like a badass, and he certainly didn't sound like a badass.
I actually really liked the way the prince acted in "Sands of Time". Those moments where he starts mumbling were amusing, especially when he becomes self-aware and starts yelling at himself to stop talking to himself. XD It reminded me of those good old days of animated movies, like Don Bluth's stuff, or Dreamworks back in the 90's, even Disney. The character actually felt human and relateable to. Then they had to ruin it all by turning into a smouldering tower of generic rage in "Warrior Within"...(sigh) at least they redeemed themselves with his personality in the 3rd one by bringing back the old voice actor and making him randomly talk to himself again...
steven seagal would be better then jake
pg 13 movie. Prob going to have a shit ton of special effects but no blood.
Well, sand creatures don't bleed. So it's probably alright. This looks decent, I hope the film is actually good. [editline]06:47PM[/editline]
I actually really liked the way the prince acted in "Sands of Time".
First decent video-game movie?
lol no. disney.
Prince of Brokeback Mountain
Disney's doing this? Man, where have I been..?
Looks...pretty meh :S They showed him doing Acrobatics and dodging shit :S I really want this to be good :(
I see the "Prince of Persia" is still a white guy while the bad guys are Arabic. Disney hasn't changed a bit since Aladdin it seems. Arabic good guy: Arabic bad guy (terrorist): Keep it fresh, Disney!
White guy. Arabic guy. Any questions?
Well they did do a sexual innuendo (Where's the knife? I have it, but you're going to have to look for it thoroughly). Maybe they'll put in a reasonable amount of violence as well.
Dammit Bruckheimer where is my color. one of the reasons Sands was a perfect game was that it had a thing called a color pallet.
I was disappointed when I saw the disney logo.
Dammit Bruckheimer where is my color. one of the reasons Sands was a perfect game was that it had a thing called a color pallet.
It may have had something called a color palette but not a pallet.

Although quite boyish, his lines were witty and all-around generally humorous. I lol'd when he scolded himself for narrating as well. But yeah all-around, not generally a stereotypical badass, but still a good character.
That chick is hot.
Is it me, or were there no sandmonsters in the trailer? They are a critical aspect to the movie, it doesn't seem like they could hold the story without them. PoP, come to think of it, was probably my favorite game ever. Going through the mind of the prince was extraordinary, and really immersed you into the story. I hope this isn't going to turn out like the "Eragon" movie did :ohdear:
Where are my sand zombies?
I hope they do it right..
I actually kind of like Gyllenhaal as the Prince, didn't think he would suit the role at first (he doesn't look very persian) but it works well. The British accent is terrible though, I wonder what made them choose that over the original? A gritty American accent would have worked better. [editline]04:56PM[/editline] Also the princess is annoying and doesn't fit in at all.
He have got iranian roots.
dammit they better have the bath scene from the first game
10bucks says he's going to kiss her, use the sands of time, and then kiss her again you're predictable, disney
This actually looks like it could be the best video game adapted film to date. I look forward to it.
It will be terrible and cliche.
That chick is hot.
and white.
Looks cool but very very over the top, like the new Indiana Jones over the top.
My dad used to play this game.
Anyone else think this looks like Indiana Jones mixed with The Mummy?
This actually looks like it could be the best video game adapted film to date. I look forward to it.
Postal was the best.
This is the kind of movie that with more violence, it could become one of the best movies of the year. Just like Transformers.
