I don't understand, it looks like regular LA.
isn't there supposed to be a zombie outbreak in this game?
Looks like their heading in the right direction, but the way the zombies reacted to hits was terrible so I hope that was just because of the whole "pre-alpha" part. If they did away with the ragdoll system that made the original Dead Island so much fun/so impressive, that was a very bad move.

the ragdoll system they used for zombies in dead island 1 was very buggy and made everything feel floaty. I'd be happy if they just replaced it with more indepth animations. bbbuuut if they overhauled it it would be nice too.
Really hoping this game is going to be fun.
To be honest, it looks pretty good for being in pre-alpha.

it being called pre-alpha doesn't mean anything in the AAA industry. If they felt the game was going to change drastically after this, they wouldn't have made a gameplay trailer. I doubt anything will change other than a few minor touch ups in graphics and animation.
I'd like it to be Dead Rising first person with co op
That probably not gonna happen though.

On another note though, my two main problems with DR were how it was designed like an MMO, all the zombies and weapons had number attached to them and the mission were incredibly MMO-esque.
If those two things we're dropped and co op was just a single player designed game with another player in it, it would be absolutely fantastic.
This is probably going to be the closest we'll get to Deadrising 3 on PS4
So if Dead Island 1 had an emotional trailer and just became a zombie beatemup more or less
and this trailer is a big beatemup trailer
Dead Island 2 most emotional game of the year???

It is Yager, the guys who did The Line. You never know.
[sp]I think it'll be as advertised.[/sp]
wait so is this all of California? They show L.A. but the logo seems to have the Golden Gate Bridge
also I hope the San Andreas fault makes it into an "island" just to justify the name
H-Hawk 'em?
Did I see advanced bird AI at the beginning?
Looks okay so far. If it's Dead Rising in first person it should be fun.
Them character animations. Stiff and ugly.

it is alpha footage
Im gonna be honest here, i was the kind of person that sorta enjoyed Dead Island one but really couldn't recommend it.
The next addition Dead Island Riptide improved things, so i really hope that it only goes up here but the chances are if you didn't enjoy the last game, things won't change.
Gameplay was really good. Characters, storyline, cutscenes etc. were pretty crap. I remember when you had to rescue Jin from the police station, and it was supposed to be really dramatic. It wasn't. Her character model hadn't even changed to show any harm at all.
Hopefully this time without the awfully consolized menu

I really doubt they are going to be changed. It may be alpha but that kind of stuff doesn't get magically fixed, especially if they are confident enough to release a minute long gameplay teaser knowing how badly the first few games were received.
