It seems like they are learning their lesson from the first game, p hyped
I thought we've learned by now that in terms of AAA games Cutting the Campaign never leads to better multiplayer.
Rainbow Six Siege
I'd prefer no campaign than a half-assed campaign like battlefield. But I'd really prefer a great campaign and a great multiplayer like Halo 2 and 3 had (never played Reach MP)
I was originally interested in how they were going to handle that Singleplayer, Multiplayer hybrid and dissapointed by how it turned out. I'm actually a bit sad they aren't going to try and push that further.
This is besides the point, but why must all new games be plagued with chromatic aberration? I guess it's no big deal but still...
If they have mech parkour I'm buying 10 copies.
so if there are mech swords does that mean there are gonna be knife only pilots running around and stabbing the pilots in the mech?

Nice. I did enjoy Titanfall quite a bit and putting in big fucking swords is a great direction to go. Also loved the Titans designs and art but then I'm a huge sucker for that kinda stuff.
That's a South African accent isn't it I fucking hate South African accents Might buy this one though, didn't have enough cash for the last one at the time so if this is much of the same just more and better I'll probably get it
The AI soldiers running around the battlefield made it feel alot more then it was.
I wish more games did that
The AI soldiers running around the battlefield made it feel alot more then it was.
Not to mention it let less skilled players still contribute points to the team.
Seems we're definitely getting atleast one new Titan
Looks more like a Stryder, to me.
This is Stryder, notice the lack of giant glowing core and eyes

A problem with the first Titanfall is that the Titans were big and powerful and all, but they felt incredibly generic compared to the super wall-running double-jumping ultra fast Pilots that tore their way through enemy forces like a hot knife through butter already. If they're adding swords to the Titans and there's magi-technology of sorts, combined with what seems like the aforementioned wall-run above, it sounds like they're really going to become the death machines they're slated as. Also the idea that two Titans were locked behind a campaign that was literally just multiplayer matches with scripted sequences and dialog attached was pretty fucking dumb in the first game. Especially with players having progression issues due to either the saves fucking up or people just flatout not playing the campaign after launch, leaving them to struggle. They're actually doing a singleplayer campaign this time, hopefully with all the crazy capabilities at player disposal they'll use it to train players for multiplayer rather than hammer out some triple-A shlock that might as well be an entirely different game.
For people upset with there being a campaign, you're missing the point. Campaign = better cost justification for sticklers to pick up the game. Better justification = Potentially better sales. Potentially better sales = EA allocates funds for better post-launch support regardless of active player numbers or actual launch numbers.
I'd personally prefer they dump all of their resources into refining the multiplayer as opposed to tacking on a campaign that probably no one will care about. I mean we saw the "story" the gave us with the first game, does anyone really want that expanded upon in a 7 hour campaign?
They did that the first time and far and away the biggest criticism of the game from basically every critic was the lack of a singleplayer campaign.
This is besides the point, but why must all new games be plagued with chromatic aberration? I guess it's no big deal but still...
It works with Titanfall, but otherwise, beats me.
They did that the first time and far and away the biggest criticism of the game from basically every critic was the lack of a singleplayer campaign.
And I still very much disagree with those critics. I dont believe the lack of campaign was Titanfall's problem. The problem was to do with content surrounding progression and unlocks. I don't feel like it having a singleplayer campaign would have made it a better game. Focusing more on adding more content to the multiplayer would have done way more to help the value and longevity of the game than adding a cod-style campaign. In CoD they can be considered added value because the multiplayer in those games is usually fully fleshed out with the campaign acting more as a bonus. But Titanfall felt like the multiplayer still needed more going on.

I think it's impossible to judge how this will impact the game until it comes out, though truthfully I know that people will accuse the singleplayer of taking away from the multiplayer regardless of how good it is. I'm just saying I can understand why Respawn would listen to the loudest and most numerous voices on this topic.

I can't deny that it was a very common complaint. I just can't agree with it either.
I cant be the only one that wishes they had gone in a direction like this instead..

Mechs like that work better for slow-paced stuff. And I don't see any of those guys on those horses doing parkour :v:
That'd be cool for a game that's not Titanfall. I don't see any of those guys on those horses doing parkour.
Yeah your not wrong. It might be to much of a change, would be an awesome game though.
What if they trained their horses to run on walls?
It'd be my favorite game ever. [editline]11th April 2016[/editline] Parkhorse.
I've always been mixed about Titan Falls lack of content. On one side I was okay with it because it wasn't overwhelming like COD or Battlefield was. Ya you didn't have alot to choose from, and it did get boring, but to me it made it a lot more simple, to just get in and wipe the floor with what I had, instead of worrying about what Tom, Dick, or Harry had. But then in the flip of a coin, it got to easy. Equip the smg, put rapid fire on it, use the thing to see through walls and you can lead the top of the board without even getting in a mech. Side note, who else loved the Titan voice that was compassionate and loving. Saying things like "until we meet again" when you were ejected out of it.
