im really damn excited for this, titanfall was a really good game and i think if they launch it with a heftier quantity of content than the 1st it might even finally be the 'cod killer' everyone wanted it to be
For people upset with there being a campaign, you're missing the point. Campaign = better cost justification for sticklers to pick up the game. Better justification = Potentially better sales. Potentially better sales = EA allocates funds for better post-launch support regardless of active player numbers or actual launch numbers.

Zampella said. "And how many people finish the single-player game? It's a small percentage. It's like, everyone plays through the first level, but 5 percent of people finish the game. Really, you split the team. They're two different games. They're balanced differently, they're scoped differently. But people spend hundreds of hours in the multiplayer experience versus 'as little time as possible rushing to the end' [in single-player].
Source
You're right, looking at this new Titan closer, it looks like it can wall-run.
God help us all...
Frostbite if I had to guess. Whatever it is, I hope it's better than the modified Source engine they used last time.
If their hiring page is to be believed, they're looking for people with experience in UE4.
My issue with TF was progression and content. Don't get me wrong, the game is FUN and I'd love to play it now if it was active, but I'd prestige after only a few hours and there was only two rifles, two pistols, a shotgun... Couple anti mech weapons. There wasn't much to do after playing for a while
what about this says realistic vs japanese mecha design without knowing about titanfall I'd probably have guessed this was something ghost in the shell inspired
I'd rather they avoid the lose of weight that GitS and most mecha anime get rid of for movement. Melee weapons would be cool as shit with beefy slow but heavy hitting mechs.
I'm very excited. I really liked Titanfall, so I'm definitely excited to see another one. I thought Titanfall's "plot" would've been much better if it was given the typical SP treatment. Regardless I'll be watching closely.
They got Mohammad Alavi, the guy who scripted the All Ghillied Up and No Russian missions from MW1 and 2 to design levels for a singleplayer mode, but they had to cut a lot of what he worked on for Titanfall when they killed a proper campaign. I'm very interested to see what they bring out with him on the team
I personally think a singleplayer is an exciting idea. Titanfall has massive potential when it comes to lore, and the "Titan Wars" are referenced multiple times throughout Titanfall (1). I'd love to see that fleshed out and shed a little more light on the backstory and the characters.
Hopefully Mohammad will have more time to shine this time around. Must have been pretty hard to see so much of your work just thrown in the bin by no fault of your own. Makes me glad that I have no intention to work for big-name studios where that shit could happen at any moment. Like you wake up one morning, and you get a memo saying "yeah, all of that work you did for the singleplayer? weeeell we aren't gonna use that since we're going for a dynamic singleplayer/multiplayer hybrid because of synergy blah blah buzzwords buzzwords, sorry man".
All I want is a spiritual successor to Shogo. Please make it happen, Respawn
Hi :D well I made a 3D model of the sword that can be seen in the trailer. It is not perfect but it is the best I could do with what I have for now :D If anyone wants it I can upload it........ http://imgur.com/U7DeC89
I hate how great this era of videogaming is. I can't get halfway through one awesome game without another three just around the corner. Titanfall was fucking amazing while it lasted, I have no doubts this will be just as good if not better.
Oh my fucking god YES YES YES Titanfall 1 was seriously one of the best FPS games I've played in recent years and it's one of those VERY rare games where it's not frustrating at all to lose as the game does a very good fucking job of making you feel like a bad ass with the parkour, mechs and AI grunts that are easy to kill and give the multiplayer maps such a chaotic atmosphere. This is gonna a fun ass year.
15 maps or 15 variations of the same 5 locations? 15 doesn't quite match what I remember. [editline]11th April 2016[/editline] At any rate, cool. What was the issue, then?
3 Types of Mechs, which are pretty boring (Slow Armored, Medium, Fast Light). A progression system that put new players at a massive disadvantage versus other players. It was way too much like COD IMO. (Very little teamwork requires/teamwork combos that could be pulled off. The speed of your character often meant you never stick around to your team mate and you could roam around the map to find people and shoot them, rinse and repeat) Terrible weapon gimmicks and uninspired arsenal (One bolt action heavy sniper rifle, One semi-auto sniper rifle, one DMR, two SMGs, Smart pistol (aimbot pistol), two shotguns... The game simply didn't offer enough variety.) Terrible weapon variety for Titans in general. You'd never be "Oh, what's that weapon he's using" because there's literally I think 7-8 Titan weapons. Granted, some weapon mods made the weapons act differently, but most of the time these mods are direct upgrade which was annoying because again, you didn't get good at the MP by skill as much as you got to unlock better weapons and gear. I still found Titanfall MP to be really fun fast paced action, but there was something about it that made me feel like "Oh, this again" and etc. Even with DLC maps.
It came from the guys that made Call of Duty, that's like saying Destiny is too much like Halo. Maybe their sequels will help them both establish a bit more of their own personalities, but as it stands they need to give Titanfall 2's content a real kick to it so it isn't just another seasonal shooter.

Though maybe different kinds of weapons would be nice too.
