Isn't there another followup theory to heat death about the big bang happening again due to quantum mechanics?
I would think that was the follow-up to the "big crunch". Either way, i find the idea interesting... and honestly, it just makes sense.
It's depressing to think we are held back from understanding the nature of existence by our physical and mental perception of our surroundings
Maybe humans will become so technologically advanced, that we could manufacture our habitable worlds ourselves, using remaining energy resources from the ending universe.
I think the opposite actually. We are the universe experiencing itself. We die. Universe dies. Everything dies. Kinda poetic don't you think?
But does it really? Maybe your conscious experience of the universe dies but things will continue going. In a sense the whole universe ends when your own consciousness fades but you exist because the universe did before you ever existed and it should continue after your death. But no one will ever know what actually happens. Honestly anything is a possibility. Our existence is so unfathomable that you could explain it a million different ways. Makes me feel bad when you realize how terrible people can be to each other during this incredibly short existence together.
This video reminds me of this neat site http://www.exitmundi.nl/exitmundi.htm
this is the most 90s website ever
