I think everything people hate about TAA (his "edginess", his not caring about whether he offends anyone, etc.) is a sort of rebound effect of him trying to deal with his own social anxiety. He feels like the only way to get over it is to prove that he doesn't care what anyone else thinks, and that becomes "I don't care who I offend" and that leads to stuff like the aforementioned "trigger" incident. I sort of feel bad for him.

I don't like TAA, but this happened a while ago, and he never mentioned anything of the sort in any of his videos, so really you're clinging to something that's no longer relevant, instead of pointing back to the whole reddit thing, you might want to actually respond to what he says in his videos.
Or better, not post TAA videos.
