Yeah I mean, either it's a really complex problem too big to fix (probably, since it's down to the physics), or they just didn't bother to do anything. I mean throughout playtesting they obviously must have died to multiple giants, so there is no way they didn't come across the bug. Again, either it's too big of a problem or just they left it in.
I'd like to believe they just left it in for shits and giggles.
The funniest bug I've ran into was a wolf actually managed to get caught on top of a dragonfly, so when the dragonfly started to fly away, it took the wolf with it. Right over my head.
Then the wolf decided to step off while it was 30 feet in the air and shattered all its bones upon impact with the ground.
