Someone I know has one, and while the handle is so fucking tacky and the blade is pretty bendy, the thing is actually pretty useful, it's actually better than my bread knife. I don't know if I love it or hate it.

They were made for the very reason to resell overstock in a creative way and pretend you're getting a good deal but in reality you're getting 10$ worth of things originally priced at 40$ for about 20$. Looks like now they're just stuck scraping the back bins of the overstock. I once wanted to sign up but now it all looks awful.
