yeah, that extremely long tunnel to the airport confuses the hell out of me for example, and there's a lot of strange bits (why would there be a military area?)
That's the first thing I found odd
I honestly feel like the map is too big and detailed to be fake. Maybe the guy that faked it is really good at it, but for something like this to get leaked hours after the trailer, I really doubt it.
In my dreams, EA brings back Saki Kaskas and Rom Di Prisco to work on a new NFS game's soundtrack, like the music they made for the first Hot Pursuit, and NFS High Stakes.
High Stakes has one of my favorite NFS songs, next to Hot Pursuit 2. Rom Di Prisco is just a god at electronic music. He actually made a really awesome remix to Callista. On topic, though, I think that this could be both good and bad. It's good that they're returning to what the series best became known for (NFS: Underground, Most Wanted & Carbon), but it's bad because of it being developed by Ghost Games, who gloriously fucked up NFS: Rivals...
I still can't believe how bad the new NFS:Most Wanted was. For some reason I am really worried about this game- I just got that feeling- that 'EA' feeling.
Wait what? What was wrong with most wanted 2012? That one is my favorite by far
I was hoping for a sequel to The Run.
It's all about carbon guys, that game was the shit!!!
Most Wanted > Carbon > Underground 2 > 1 imo I still can't believe how shit ProStreet was.
Most Wanted > Carbon > Underground 2 > 1 imo I still can't believe how shit ProStreet was.
Didn't ProStreet had really shite controls?
Most Wanted > Carbon > Underground 2 > 1 imo I still can't believe how shit ProStreet was.
I liked ProStreet, it got really boring halfway in but I really liked the OST.
Okay so can we all agree that Underground 1 & 2 had some of the best soundtracks of any racing game?
Wait what? What was wrong with most wanted 2012? That one is my favorite by far
Most Wanted 2012 had a lot wrong. I was very disappointed when I played it and immediately regret my purchase. The world was lifeless. Police chases were tedious, and there was no penalty in getting busted. And there was no progression, so it felt pointless to continue. I only played it for 3 hours before just getting flat-out bored of it. I tried to get myself to play it again, but I'd close it after 10 minutes. It was just boring to play.
Okay so can we all agree that Underground 1 & 2 had some of the best soundtracks of any racing game?
I beg to differ. :v:

I suppose you're not wrong.. As I car guy though I loved it. The car sounds were amazing, nothing I've ever heard from a game before. The driving physics were fun also. Though addressing your lifeless point.. I don't see how it's any different from any need for speed before it? I mean there's other cars on the road and that's it. That's how it's always been.

Hot Pursuit 2010 was a dreadful game. It was a racing game that didn't want you driving. Doing practically anything would make the game pull control away from you, put the AI in control, and give you control a split-second before you crash into a wall because the AI can't drive worth anything. Any time the road narrowed to two lanes, being behind anyone was a death-sentence, because the spike strips (that the AI can apparently drop as many as it wants of) cover the whole road area. You can either hard brake, swerve (and still get hit because the spike strips move on the street), or take the hit, and either way you've probably lost the event. And that's not getting on the ~30seconds of unskippable menu-cutscenes after every single successful mission showing you all of your new cars and telling you how you're now the master sergeant police sergeant to the max 2nd class. Also, it doesn't have manual transmissions, only automatic. Good job making Lamborghinis and Porsches less engaging to drive than my Ford Focus. EDIT: I just deployed a spike strip, only to watch it hit the ground and fucking bounce into the sky EDIT 2: I just watched the AI fall through the world twice in a row in my rear-view mirror
It wont be good. We all know it.
It was still a massive step in the right direction for the series. Too bad Rivals was 2 steps back
I saw Rivals as 2 steps forward. It was Hot Pursuit 2010 made free-roam, which was exactly what I wanted. It just had a lot of minor technical problems that held it back. I hope they do another Rivals. I know this is basically standard practice today, but... - They're saying that's in-game, but this video was not captured in real-time. Why be intentionally misleading? The motion blur dismisses it. That kind of motion blur requires many many samples and is not done in real-time today. They even say it's representative of the graphics of all platforms.

I finished it on PS3 when it was new and PC again recently and I haven't had any of those issues.
Okay so can we all agree that Underground 1 & 2 had some of the best soundtracks of any racing game?
If Most Wanted didn't exist then maybe.
wait wait wait, this was all ingame footage? Holy shit i seriously thought this was just a teaser with actual real life footage with cars from the game cgi/spliced in. oh hot dayum [editline]22nd May 2015[/editline]
I know this is basically standard practice today, but...
I was hoping for a sequel to The Run.
Brother man, this is what I was hoping for.
Is that Franklins Voice screaming yooyoyo cops cops?
I really hope this is gonna be good. Hoping for lots of tuning options as well, instead of like 3 body kits you can choose from.

As long as we don't need to make our car look like a total piece of shit to beat the game(My only gripe with NFS:U2) I may be willing to give EA a shot with this. Well, that, and they offer it without Origin. I'm not interested enough to grab Origin.

NFS:The Run looks really really nice when you topped it out and BF4 and Hardline show other areas of the engine, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was actually done in engine.
You have some weird glitches going on, dude. I finished it on PS3 when it was new and PC again recently and I haven't had any of those issues.
Even if it was glitchless that's still no excuse to not have a manual transmission option
I really dont think this is all in game, this is too good and looks like real time.
This is the Frostbite engine. It's extremely powerful, BF4 might have been a bad game but the tech behind it is gorgeous
This is the Frostbite engine. This trailer is not in real-time, just like how Valves "meet the" series is not rendered in real-time.
