I kinda learned to hate riced out cars with decals and colored rims from Underground but maybe nostalgia will save me.
It will be the same watered down shit we've got for the past decade. Unless its literally an updated underground1/2/carbon, with new cars, it simply won't be good.

If you do remotely well in the first lap, even the slightest error will cause half of the pack to rocket past you. That game's endurance races (~7laps) were the worst: 9 minutes of racing, and only the last 30 seconds matter. NFSU2 is the same, but padded out with a (mostly) pointless open world. Wouldn't be so bad, except that if you did warp to events, it penalized you (IIRC by giving no cash for the race). Carbon was pretty good, except for the system that would have one single opponent catch up to you in the last lap if you were ahead, which meant (again) that if you made even the slightest mistake in the last ~30 seconds of the race, the last couple of minutes of flawless driving didn't mean squat. Don't get me wrong, I loved the games back in the day, but they really haven't held up replaying them. I honestly have to say that ProStreet was the most satisfying, because the rubberband was (IIRC) minimal. It wasn't perfect by any means (the last tournament was awful for giving every opponent 1000hp Nissans, all of the boss battles were lame, the Speed events were impossible on a keyboard), but between that and the customization and car variety, it really came together.
I was hoping for a sequel to The Run.
The Run was a good concept that was marred by poor development. The campaign can be beaten in less than two hours on average difficulty, the vehicle audio is atrocious, the A.I. is rubber-banded to hell and back, vehicle handing is terrible, and the multiplayer servers had lag issues.
