I wish Sobotnik was here to tell us all about how everyone is completely wrong about this in every way.
The video is correct in that it explains how fiat currency is created and is basically a way for the state to pay for goods and services.
Yet it doesn't seem to explain why it isn't actually bad.
"Oh boo hoo, the Jews are stealing my money with their taxes".
Who gives a shit? The system actually works better than under a gold standard or silver standard, where constant deflation is a serious problem.
Want to know who benefits in a deflationary system where gold and silver standards exist?
Oh that's right, the people who own gold and silver in the first place.

Yo I'm pretty cynical about politics and economics, and the rules of politics tends to favour bad behaviour (mainly in order to secure their own power), but saying that the Jews or Masons or Bankers control the world and that only based Ron Paul can save us is a load of shit.
Ron Paul is just another puppet of these people who are at the top of the pyramid.
This oligarchy are putting everyone on this planet within their debt based system. The whole global economy is at this moment being engineered into total collapse. Out of the chaos they will present the solution to the turmoil. A global central bank with a global currency and global government. This is what the so called "new world order" is all about.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson

I love GC but I don't like watching his material from his late years. He's just so cynical. He's right but he doesn't seem to want to make you laugh anymore.
(GDP = gross domestic product, essentially how much stuff a country can produce. Produce more and you'll pretty much raise the standard of living).
While I agree with everything you said, this line always irks me.
GDP =/= qaulity of life or even standard of living.
It's sort of an artificial correlation, while countries with a high GDP *often* have a good standard of living for other reasons than their GDP, there's no intrinsic tie between the two things. As well as that, I suppose "standard of living" is also used as misleading term. A population can be unhealthy and miserable whilst still having a "high standard of living."

A higher standard of living is better than a lower standard of living though.
Plus I don't get what you mean by "unhealthy". Living standards take healthcare access and quality into account too. Now what he said is generally true. Produce more wealth, and people have more wealth to use on things. It's generally why wealthy countries have high standards of social and economic wellbeing where the citizens don't need to engage in subsistence agriculture or work in a factory under threat of being shot by a dictator.
Loans are pretty important to how our economy works.
Most people can't afford the upfront costs to do things like create a business, that's where things like loans can be most helpful.
Why would you create a business just to pay off the business.. Am I insane or is that the definition of counterproductive and a waste of time and energy?

I mean if you were born into a millionaire family, yeah you can do whatever you want without a loan.
But for normal people, pursuing your dreams isn't free. Some people have always dreamed of running their own business. I'm one of those people, and I understand that to get there, I'll need financial help, because I'm not exactly overflowing with capital.
The whole point is to make your business profitable, so you can earn back the money to pay the loan and keep going.
I don't see how it's a 'waste of time and energy', and the way you word it is pretty insulting.

How is it insulting? It doesn't matter how you word it. You have a dream of wasting time and energy. I don't care if i'm insulting you. It's not my problem.
People get insulted over everything that has nothing to do with them.
If the business turns a profit its not a waste of time and energy. You have just secured your future and potentially others with employment.
I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with this information
I can't see how telling people about this is helping because the current system is embedded too deeply into our way of life that changing it is impossible.
There doesn't seem to be a good solution to this & even if there is, the people with all the power do everything they can to prevent change.
& that's assuming that no good can come from the current system which isn't entirely true
Yeah if ur educated on economics ur wrong Im right. Trust me I read internet posts and for sure dont participate in the system i have crazy theories about everyday.
I'm just acknowledging the fact that we live in a playground where the big kids hang out at the monkey bars and to get there you need to jump through their hoops. Also why are lashing out defensively at me, did I threaten to shatter your fragile illusion of daily routines?
If you think anyone is exempt from the system you're an idiot. The fact that I am writing this on a computer makes me just as big a part of the system as any other aspect of my life. When I take a shit I contribute to the system.
