2 Apache Helicopters Engage a Platoon of Taliban (Graphic as Fuck)

I've never understood a lot of the geneva conventions regarding the current war. Some stuff is okay, some stuff is not, my dad is friends with a guy who had this knife that he brought over there from the states and they wouldn't let him carry because it violated combat rules or something. He had to keep it in a toolbox.
Taliban are not protected by the Geneva conventions, as they are unlawful combatants.
They have no formal leadership structure, do not carry their arms openly, do not honor the Geneva Convention themselves, and do not have a distinct uniform.
The more you know. Still brutal though.
So let's just use a nerve agent.
While they dont care about the treaty. We do, that is what separates "civilized war" from "uncivilized war". Even if our enemies dont care about the rules of war set in place by most of the world, we will follow them. If he was still moving, he wasnt incapacitated enough.
That mule or donkey that was near the guy in the trench that got hit by a hellfire was pretty much un-phased by the explosion, it just stood there.
I felt so bad when they killed the wounded guys, though I can understand they would be afraid of them faking it and then popping up to kill friendlies.
I guess all kids playing cod black ops are qualified gunners
Yeah the Geneva Convention only applies to situations where both combatants are recognized as legal, and both sides have to agree to follow convention guidelines.
Since the Taliban doesn't fall under the guidelines as a legal combatant, the United States doesn't have to stick to the Geneva Convention when fighting the Taliban.
But he didn't seem like he was mercy killing him "Ah yeah got him"
I think that was more confirmation that he did hit him and not like a "right on got that sucker" kind of thing.

He is confirming he landed a shot, not cheering about it.

We still do follow most of it though, since our military's doctrines and codes prevent us from doing most of the stuff found in the treaty itself.
It's nice to see that a video of soldiers who actually do care about civilians, usually the only videos I see are Collateral Murder and stuff
Videos of soldiers being nice to people don't make good sensational pieces, therefore you never see them. For every video of abuses there are two or more of acts of kindness that no one ever cares about.

Uh not really, most of the code follows the conventions.

A guy eats a 30mm right in the chest
2:50 what the fuck the guy is wounded. Isn't that a clear violation of the Geneva treaty?
Yeah, he's just going to leave the guy laying in terrible pain for hours. What he did is fucking respectful as shit.
Uh not really, most of the code follows the conventions.
I think he meant to say that our code follows the convention.
Yes, while we aren't limited by the Geneva Convention, our own rules of engagement follow a large part of the stuff in the convention.
I wonder why they didn't shoot at the tents or anybody near the tents.
You don't shoot at something you can't see.
Also civilians.

I remeber that thread.
"WHAT AN INSENSITIVE AMERICAN BABY KILLER, SINGING A CHORD FROM SONG WHILE SHOOTING SOMEONE"
2:43 You could still see him moving even when the entire left side of his body had been sprayed all over the sand in the desert heat.
I forgot why we are fighting them.
Like how they came from/were dangerously close to civilians, they're fucking monsters, if they have to resort to using civilians as guards then why don't they just fucking give up and end the murders and unneeded civilian death?
Can't we just all get along? :(

i don't think the tailban care about the treaty
And that's why the Us shouldn't too?
War is pretty fucking pathetic nowadays, the rich fat kid with the new toys wins.

You are right, instead everyone should be in trenches and slowly killing each other off while attrition and horrid conditions take out each other until the larger country won.
Or maybe go back even further where countries send waves of people to kill each other with lead pellets, in the mean time the larger country having a tendency to win.
Or further where we simply sent thousands against each other with sticks and the larger country won.
why has this been rated winner
"WOO KILLING PEOPLE YEAH FUCKING AWESOME"
Imagine if the enemy had this sort of technology, this war would be a very different story.
Can someone please tell me why America is even in Afghanistan? Because it seems to me that if some foreign super power came into America with their Apache's and soldiers, killing terrorists (or what they deem to be terrorists), American men would surely unite and fight back? My dad once told me that "One country's freedom fighters is another country's "terrorists"." So please tell me why America is in Afghanistan, killing these men, even killing a few mules (which are the people's livelihood). Because they are "terrorists"? Get the fuck out of Afghanistan and let the country sort out it's own fucking problems.
