Why does the news report say he hit a garbage truck but the video show no indication of that?
The video is buffered in the phone and sent with a delay. The battery likely fell out of the phone during crash due to dynamic forces, so the buffer that was still up for being sent to the network just vanished.
PHones haven't had detachable batteries for ages. More likely, it smashed into the dash so hard it died and lost the cache that way.
MIT made this not so long ago http://moralmachine.mit.edu/ see how fucked up your morals are
A lot of those were stupid, they were effectively the same people but one group was breaking the law and the other wasn't. What kind of moral crisis am I supposed to have with shit tier scenarios like that? I've taken personality quiz's that made me question my morals more.
PHones haven't had detachable batteries for ages.
Civics are loud as fuck when you're cruising over 140 km/h (85 mph) though
Old civics maybe, but not these new ones, I'd guess.
... have you actually taken the back plate off of a phone in the past year or two?
Well, no, I haven't, because I don't have $800 laying around to replace it if the screwdriver nicks a PCB and rips off a near-microscopic component. Phones haven't had removable batteries for ages and your comment does nothing to dispute that. A removable battery is one that you can pop out by pressing on a latch, or perhaps just sliding it off of some catch hooks. If you need tools to get to it it isn't removable.

You're not going to have an exposed PCB when your back plate falls off. Most phones still have the battery in a covered recess on the back of your device it slots into, the non removable part doesn't suddenly make it dangerous to get into your phone. Like seriously dude, if you're gonna talk shop try and know what the hell you're talking about
I have to deal with enough shitheads like these driving around while I'm at work. It made my night seeing one finally be served justice by themselves.
for example, this is my current device, the Droid Turbo 2. There's a plastic seating that the battery sits in as you can see, and another that usually covers those top components. You're not going to damage your device by popping the backplate off, but with enough force you could totally lose the battery. Nonremovable doesn't mean built it, it's just hardwired. The companies have to be able to replace faulty batteries somehow dude
No surprise here - he's driving a Civic.
Why would you try to throw away your life like that? :\
Why would you try to throw away your life like that? :\
Being young you can think you're invincible. You also think when you see something bad happen that "it won't happen to me, I'm smart!". There's also the arrogance that comes into it, and he's driving a 4 cylinder automatic car like it's 'fast'. That alone sort of displays his mindset. He obviously just thought he was much better, and endangered other peoples' lives on top of a disregard for his own.
The schadenfreude is great so great.

And, hell, even if that were true I still dont have eight hundred dollars laying around to replace it if the screwdriver damages something. Your rambling does fuck all to refute my point and your personal attack is unwarranted. My point stands unaltered.

My point stands unaltered.
No, but it's pretty common practice and if your phone doesn't fit into that then well, that's poor design. You can plug your ears all you want and keep saying how I'm rambling but at the end of the day there's plenty of reason to believe that the battery got knocked out during the accident. Hell, it's a retarded thing to be arguing about anyway, all I was getting across is that 'non-removable' doesn't mean it's built in, it's just hardwired. You're clearly not going to budge on this and frankly I don't care, this is exactly the kind of attitude you employ in like every thread you come into and you've got a pretty bad rep for it so I don't really need to push any more than I have. Honestly, my posts ended up being more for general education for people reading the thread than trying to convince you of anything, trust me I'm acutely aware that wouldn't work from square 1.
of course the civic would wanna kill itself like that, its forced to drive someone with a terrible taste in music
My 2014-15 android i'm posting on right now has a removable battery lol, you use your fingernail to pry off the back cover and again to pull out the battery
God. What a fucking idiot.
