it's sad that 15 hours is considered long now
Considering it is, for the most part, a linear shooter, not really? It's hard to make a shooter in general that long and takes a ton of manpower to make it longer than 10, let alone 15. It'd only be sad if it was a Sandbox that only took 15 to get through all the content, but not a shooter.

Half-Life (pretty much the go-to linear shooter for examples) is about 9-10 hours long. Nothing's really changed in terms of length, unless we're talking about COD or something similar.

lmao really though the IGN method of rating is stupid
how I'd do it is make a list of categories + Subcategories. Paragraph of at least 2-5 sentences + rating on every sub category, average the category, then all of them together. The major categories only get a total summery of what the sub categories were.

hell that's longer than most games in the past. what games have lasted you more than that?
HL2 was like 15 hours long. That's way long.
15 hours? that's it?
was this on hard
cause if it's not then I could probably beat it within a couple days, even pacing myself of playing maybe two hours
IGN isn't a reliable review website, why does what they say matter?
IGN isn't a reliable review website, why does what they say matter?
they still played the game and therefore they still have more experience with it than any of us
i'm pretty sure IGNs rating system is 9-10 instead of 1-10
And this is why number score systems for games don't work.
Metacritic's number scores are usually a pretty accurate reflection of a game's quality imo. That is where I go if I want to decide whether or not to buy a game.
Why is everyone forgetting this isn't a sandbox game? Heck I beat DXHR in 18 and that's probably more open ended than this is

Metacritics scores are just odd
essentially any game below 80 is probably rubbish with very few exceptions.

How open will it be compared to Bioshock 1?
HL2 was like 15 hours long. That's way long.
cod is about 8
I have reckoning at 20 hours and haven't beaten it yet
32 for dishonored (3 play throughs)
All assassins creed minus 1 and 3 isn't finished 129 hours
JC2 272 hours
metro 2033 31 hours
tf2 about 173 hours
I'd say 15 is a fair amount for a single player game, that isn't open world that is.
How open will it be compared to Bioshock 1?
Bioshock 2 was slightly more open than 1, I have 20 hours after about 2.2 play throughs
I hope BS gives me 60 hours :v:
