In retrospect how I came out was super fucking awkward lol.
pretty much I've got an asexual lesbian friend, she's cool with having relationships with others she just doesn't want to have sexual intercourse because she has no desire to
What an empty existiance, appeasing my basest urge to have sex is like my second favorite thing next to watching movies Maybe I'm just a creature of instinct, but I could never understand a complete lack of interest in sexual contact. That's like, hard coded in ya know?

Some people simply have a naturally low libido and thus don't desire to have sex.
Serious question: does that mean you have zero sexual feelings or desires?
Essentially yes, to put it simply it being asexual means that you have no sexual attraction to either gender. That doesn't necessarily mean that you don't get aroused ever or can't fall in love, but it does mean that one doesn't generally feel any sort of desire to have sex with others. Like anything involving people it's a deceptively simple concept that's difficult to sum up well, so here's a decent resource for more information regarding this since I'd undoubtedly fuck up trying to explain further: http://www.whatisasexuality.com/intro/
What an empty existiance, appeasing my basest urge to have sex is like my second favorite thing next to watching movies Maybe I'm just a creature of instinct, but I could never understand a complete lack of interest in sexual contact.
I'm sure a lot of people think your existence is empty if you watch movies that much, but they usually have the common sence to not casually blurt it out because it's pretty rude to say such things, specially since it's so subjective your opinion on it doesn't even matter
thanks for giving him a stern talking-to, mom.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm asexual but then I realize that I jerk off a lot, like, a lot. However it's mostly to lewd chinese cartoons and drawings. The only reason why I think I'm asexual is because I've actually had lots of opportunities to have sex in the last 5 or 6 months and so far I have not taken any of them. Every instance I just did not feel any sexual attraction. Shit, one girl was all over me and she totally wanted to gobble my knob but I was like "nah let's just chat".
TBH when you don't have to worry about sex you have plenty of things to fill that in.
Fair enough. I was just saying its a strange concept to me that people actively feel -no- desire for sex (something built into us!) I just think it's interesting to think about. Watching movies is not something ingrained into our very being over the course of our whole existiance, so thanks for that dank snipe though!
Care to elaborate?
I wrote a super cringy note to my parents after I got hospitalized for suicidal thoughts.
I wrote a super cringy note to my parents after I got hospitalized for suicidal thoughts.
Oh, well that didn't go in the direction that I thought it would. I'm sorry to hear that, hope you're doing better man.

Essentially, you've tricked your brain into thinking you've already had sex and that you don't need it anymore. Try not masturbating so much, it will make you more confident and more able to engage with other people on a sexual level. You don't have to stop entirely, just take a break for a few days if you're planning to have sex or you think someone might be interested in you. Also, if your masturbatory habits are taking up too much time and are interfering with your day-to-day activities (or you want to masturbate less so you have more time to work on other things) then it's also a good idea to take a break for a bit or at least try to masturbate less often.
Oh, well that didn't go in the direction that I thought it would. I'm sorry to hear that, hope you're doing better man.
Yeah that was years ago. I'm doing p. good now

The whole 'don't masturbate so you can "save up"' thing can cause you to prematurely bust nut, which can lead to insecurities and eventually a decreased libido as well. Getting off topic with it, but its important to keep a good sex life I feel to keep a clear and healthy mind. That can be with just yourself, just do it right!
I plan on coming out via skywriting, should work out pretty well.
I don't care about anyone's sexual preferences as long as they don't talk about it every 10 minutes as if their life depends on it.
Heh, the ending is basically my life when I say I'm actually an asexual.
Same. :| Nobody really believes me or gets it, especially my parents.
I always wondered how that works with asexual people who still have relationships. Unless your partner is asexual as well, how does that work? Either the asexual one just feigns an interest, or lets their partner have their way with them or whatever, or the sexual one goes without sexual release. It seems like either way that would be a terrible existence for at least one of them.

To them I guess it's like indulging your partner's fetish or something like that. For the sex-repulsed ones, I'm guessing they either avoid dating sexual people, or they make some kind of arrangement if they want things to be (relatively) stable.

There are also asexuals who do have a libido and like sexual pleasure, but aren't attracted to any specific people or genders. What you described could very well go under asexuality, as it is a spectrum you see. However there could be other explanations. Demisexuality for example means you have the libido as usual, but can only be sexually attracted to someone you're romantically attracted to, or similarly have an emotional bond to.
Yeah this video sums it up pretty well. Its never as bad as it seems. I came out to my mom over dinner and she said "okay, would you like more broccoli?" and then when I told my dad while I was playing a game he just stared at me for a while before he said "that's fine honey, by the way you're about to get killed by that guard there." I know my experience isn't like everyone else's, but if anyone's reading this who hasn't come out yet or is considering doing it most likely your experience will not be as bad as you think. Especially in this day and age where its pretty widely accepted of your sexuality.

Sure, homosexuality wasn't something Mom and Dad accepted, but they weren't acting in a "you aren't my real son" kind of way, and I was honestly kinda expecting a much worse response, like them sending him to Cross Creek or something like that.
