Searched cyanide and happiness on tumblr, clicked the video and checked the notes for reactions
If you're offended by this, you have no funnybone. Furry/Brony/whatever.

It isn't like it was even that offensive, people take everything as a personal attack these days, it's so fucking stupid. I wasn't offended at all despite being a furry, in fact I thought it was pretty damn funny.

I dislike the taste of watermelons. Somewhere, I just offended someone and I'm going to get attacked for it. Watermelon flavored candy however is the best.

Mom tosses otherkin into the lake like a typical tossing sack full of puppies or kittens into the river.

Not much of a punch line

Prolly just something to kick the otherkin in the balls with and brew a storm on tumblr.

To quote my favorite tumblr post:
man i love tumblr so goddamn much. it often makes me imagine that 95% of its populous is filled with volatile chemicals and collision of any form from physical to emotional will be catastrophic

Ah, but it is the punchline. This is an anti-joke.

Long story short:
"im an animal trapped in a human body"
Mom tosses otherkin into the lake like a typical tossing sack full of puppies or kittens into the river.
That's not a punchline, it's just a thing that happened. It's a scenario.

schizophrenia
I'm 99% certain I've seen an episode from the original CSI with furries at the center of the plot.
yeah it has been a plot point on crime shows just that parent/friend/relative killing them hasnt its normally furry kills furry
Short story shorter:
schizophrenia
Well, I wouldn't go that far.
Before otherkins were slopped into the furry crowd they were always seen with those wiccan wierdos and whatnot. basically old otherkins thought they actually could somehow channel magick and become their ~true form~ via astral projection.
they're not mentally ill, they're just fucked.

it's not furries that are mad at this, it's the weird otherkin
it's like, 5 tiers above furries.

Thats because Furries hate otherkin.
Deep down inside all of them know it's not true, it's emotionally more convenient for them.
imo they are drawn to it via personality traits and then succumb to it because they think "all these other people believe this? why cant i"
bla bla bla every grand preconceived notion bla bla

it doesn't need a punchline you fucking spergs, the act was the funny part.
for fucks sake you take any chance you can to rip c&h apart, even if it's a funny skit.
i wicked creeped out by the idea of a furry utilizing the same language in an attempt to justify their lifestyles as an individual who's transgendered or just someone who doesn't fit into the gender binary at all
like i don't hate furries or anything but don't try to equate your strange fetish to a fuckin gender identity lmao
A simpler answer is that its escapism;
I'm not going to do drugs, I'm not going to become a drunk, I suck a video games and most things in general, maybe instead I should cloud my mind in the idea of being an idealized being inside of an idealized world.
that seems harder to believe
"I can't have nice things because jokes hurt my feelings."

And here I thought I like C&H. I guess I was always wrong, thanks for letting me know how I feel.

Anti-Jokes have punchlines. This didn't really, it had an ending, but not really a punchline. It just went where we all assumed it would. A real punchline would have been the doctor then quietly going on his computer to blog about some mother wanting to put down a poor pyrofox and he's one too.
Besides C&H's depression week, they usually always have something like that.

No no, I meant that what he had said was a punchline wasn't. I wasn't complaining.

The fact that it ends at the car going in the river IS the punchline
The fact that it ends at the car going in the river IS the punchline
Then I guess we'll have to disagree.
Because that simply felt like an ending because it wasn't really a anti-joke. She wanted to kill him. Doctor wouldn't do it, so she did it. It was simply the logical narrative conclusion.
Edit: Not everything needs one but there was a huge setup for a great payoff and it just fell flat for me without one.
