Okay so was I the only one who thought since we saw the old Shaundi do you think we will run into old gat and somehow be able to take him back in to saints row 4's dimension to replace the newer/dead gat?

Or maybe we go back in time, make sure that they never get on that plane, and it changes the course of history. Forever.
There'll probably be a choice between saving SR3 Shaundi and SR2 Shaundi at some point.
"That's not a plan, that's a goal."
Hahaha.
I'm surprised so many people were optimistic after this trailer. To me, the game still looks a little rubbish. Even without the wubwub trailers, its still forced 'over the topness', a DLC made into a full game set in the same city as the last game, complete with the same peds and cars (from what we've seen so far anyway)
still gonna play it cuz SR games are fun, but I don't feel like this trailer justifies its shortcomings at all.

I don't remember this. I thought he was alive all the game.
Fine, it was a joke. :v:

Development of SR4 started at about the same time as that of Enter the Dominatrix. They then took the elements of the DLC and added that to the sequel. SR4 did not emerge from EtD, they simply merged the development of the two.
Furthermore, as I've said before, from what we've heard from people like IdolNinja (who actually played the thing and has been gushing over it ever since) it is much more than what you seem to think it is.
well, at least they seem aware of how few people actually LIKED their new direction. But isn't it a bit late in development to change that? I mean the trailer has a different tone this time, but I don't think the same goes for the game in general. If anything a change in direction NOW would make it more of a mess...

Can you provide some evidence?

i think he was being sarcastic
So much Red Faction
Looks like they really wanted to merge the two universes completely, rather than just have entities from RF in SR. I expect them losing RF has kinda killed that dream mind.
As for the "omg fiar marketeer guy!!" stuff. Don't, whoever was planning this advertising regime did a great job. By releasing the feature trailers and short, awfully non-descriptive ones, they stirred up drama about the game, people had their eyes on it seeing what the actual fuck Volition were thinking, just to hit them with this trailer, and win most of them over.

jokes
Yes. One mission from SR3 springs to mind. It was the mission where you had to protect her whilst she visited various spots around the city. The mission itself didn't bother me it was the cliched shit she'd shout at you throughout the duration of the mission. The character is tedious and the geek chic shit doesn't wash with me. It is lazy writing at it's finest.
I loved missions with Kinzie..
There'll probably be a choice between saving SR3 Shaundi and SR2 Shaundi at some point.
that's not even a choice
Guys Just wait until you actually play it before screaming its a terrible game
Looks promising, I'm hyped.
"That's not a plan, that's a goal."
Hahaha.
I expected the Boss to say, "And I plan to achieve my goals." Calling it now, that's in there somewhere.
Well that leaked information about a new character named Asha was right as well as having sr2 shaundi again.
Again, it's legitimacy is questionable, we just have to wait and see for this new "Asha" character really exists. But it looks like to me there's at least a few people at Volition who care.

Repostin'
Kinda cringey reading a dev's badmouthing of SR3
If Saints Row 4 can expand on the content, then it doesn't even need to turn back. Pump up the silliness and give us lots of fun. Saints Row 3 kinda sucked because it was lacking in content, it took a lot of shortcuts with missions.
Hell, if they had mod support and a large modding community, they wouldn't even need to make more saints row games.

are devs not allowed to be dissatisfied with the games they make?
