The upgrade system didn't work well with the two-weapon system. It didn't help that "modified" versions almost completely replace the standard versions during the last levels of the game - making you upgrades useless and sticking you with the un-upgraded "modified" versions (That usually suck).
I never used any of the Vox guns (save for picking it up and shooting it a bit before swapping back) through my whole first run of game. They didn't replace the Founders guns at all.
holy fuck
I haven't even played that much of the game, but it feels like the weekest part of it so it's easy to point to.
It is the weakest part no doubt, but people treat it like its the most insultingly bad FPS gameplay in the world. Hell, I've heard people hate on it and turn around to praise Half Life 2's gunplay, I just don't fucking get that.
Waifu fags are already freaking out because their innocent waifu is smoking even though it's not even the same character. And the whole slutting thing I mean acting the whole femme fatale role she seems to have this time round by alluring the main character and other characters so she can use them to her advantage. Bad wording on my part, sorry.
Fuck the waifu shit. liz is really attractive though
Feminists can't be "gamers"? Why, are their fedoras not to specified regulations?
I'm referring to the ones who call themselves gamers just for the sake of having more credit while complaining about stuff nobody really cares in games Why would you jump to the conclusion that I'm referring to ALL the feminists?
I thought Liz was a really well written character and all, but I can't even remotely agree with the Waifu shit. I just didn't get that vibe from her. She was charming, and at times adorable, but they did a good job of keeping her from being a Waifu [sp]which makes sense, considering her relationship with Booker[/sp]

But even then, I didn't find any problems with switching weapons constantly, and I was playing on the hardest difficulty.

I know I didn't when I played through the game, but a while after I beat it I realized that parts of the game just didn't stick with me too well. But that's ok because this DLC looks really good.

Hell, I've heard people hate on it and turn around to praise Half Life 2's gunplay, I just don't fucking get that.
I know what you mean, I'm just saying that it's too easy to fall into a position where you point out the weak part of a game and eventually start making it sound like it's the son of satan. Just like RAGE's texture, it was a pretty bad problem and was horrible on some machines due to driver problems, but people made it out to be the worst thing ever in the history of things. Going over the same problem over and over ends up making it worse and worse in your mind. Kind of like when you think of an argument with someone, by the time you see that person again you'd think they murdered your family.
This pushes the "Man and a Lighthouse," theory to a whole new level. [editline]30th July 2013[/editline] Oh my God I hope McDonaugh is in this.
Constants and variables. The place, the time, the characters change. But there's always a man. There's always a girl. And there's always a city.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man.
original version before people starts wondering who's the girl in bioshock 1,2
You could easily consider the Little Sisters "The Girl" by comparing Liz and Songbird to Little Sisters and Big Daddy.

That AD confuses me.

I apologize for misinterpreting you but it's entirely possible on this forum to find people spouting "No True [del]Scotsman[/del] Gamer" every time feminism is brought up.
That AD confuses me.
It's still the same people, just a different time and place. Who's to say the events of Infinite didn't occur similarly in at least one Rapture universe?
I thought Infinite had interesting gunplay with the vigors and stuff. It wasn't the best, but I enjoyed it for the entire game.
Yeah, I really have no idea what people are talking about when the guns were 'replaced'. I was finding my original upgraded weapons like crazy. But even then, I didn't find any problems with switching weapons constantly, and I was playing on the hardest difficulty.
I think all the weapon and equippable drops are almost random aside from certain spots and rifts. So one player may not encounter their favorite weapon for most of the game, while another will keep finding Hand Cannons all over the place. Not sure, though, since I haven't played it again since release due to backlog. Personally, I was a Pistol and Repeater man, with the occasional Sniper Rifle and RPG.
I most rolled Shotgun and Handcannon/Machine Gun. Suited me well the whole game. No trouble with ammo or anything.
I most rolled Shotgun and Handcannon/Machine Gun. Suited me well the whole game. No trouble with ammo or anything.
The shotgun with upgrades was pretty awesome to use. I just kept a repeater at hand in case something was out of range or fucking me up too much at close range :v:
The one gear that dealt overkill damage to nearby enemies was super satisfying with the Handcannon and Shotgun.
i rolled sniper rifle for the most part, all those crit headshots really saved my ass a lot of times in 1999 mode
The one gear that dealt overkill damage to nearby enemies was super satisfying with the Handcannon and Shotgun.
I remember getting the gear that caused an elemental damage explosion whenever you killed an enemy with said elemental weapon, and it would chain for people who got killed by the explosion. You could fire one rocket into a group of enemies and they'd all burst into fireballs. It was crazy entertaining.
My main gripe with the combat is that Booker moves just slightly too slowly, which cripples the flow for me and reduces the room for experimentation with the gratifying vigors in favor for constant cover-seeking.
carbine/ handcannon master race
after my 1999 game the sniper rifle is my new favorite weapon. but I don't think a sniper rifle will work in the cramped corridors of Rapture :c
Shotgun best gun
Man fuck DLC in the asshole, I won't say anything as to the quality of it because I'm sure it's fine. But when I buy a game, I should get the whole experience. I shouldn't be forced into spending more money or pre-ordering to have access to all the content. Money grubbing assholes.

Fucking monsters is what they are.
