How do you turn "it's not fun to watch people getting mildly inconvenienced and typing something like "gtfo" on the chat" into something about griefing requiring talent and being artistic? I'm not saying that griefing has to be creative or whatever you're trying to imply here. I'm saying the video isn't entertaining unless it has a good reaction or the griefing itself is done in a funny way. How is it difficult to grasp?
If it isn't entertaining for you then it isn't entertaining for anyone! "Stop liking what I don't like!"
If it isn't entertaining for you then it isn't entertaining for anyone! "Stop liking what I don't like!"
You have extreme problems with reading, don't you?
About a youtube vid where people type "gtfo hacker" etc on the chat because someone is using a wallhack not being entertaining or funny? Yes, I am. But if you think that somehow it is entertaining please do explain.
I fully acknowledged it can be entertaining to you and I asked you to explain how because I can't understand. It's nothing hard or special. And these people are not angry at all. They just acknowledged that the griefer exists and that he inconveniences them. That's almost no reaction at all. How do you find it funny/entertaining?
you guys are taking this shit too seriously

These people calling me a cock-sucking rat and using cartoon phrases like "mark my words" are not angry? Are you sure? The entire context of the videos is showcasing the absurd degree of ferocity these players have in an extremely casual deathmatch game when introduced to an otherwise ignorable presence.

But tbh it's not really worth a video. I'm not sure who made that vid, maybe you, can't tell now, it was a cs griefing vid, the giefer might have been using hacks or teamattacks I can't remember what exactly he was doing, but the vid was about 5 minutes long and it was about reaction of 2 or 3 most extreme people, the angry comments made by other people were just slapped here and there. Or sometimes a bunch of them combined on 1 screen during the breaks. They were supporting the main content of the vid, they weren't the main content themselves. You know what I mean? I'm just saying it's not as good as your other videos. But that's just my opinion.

I make videos and I don't care this much. Lol. I don't get it. Also telling people to stop teamkilling on CSS/CSGO is fucking stupid. People get really mad when you TK in competitive games. YOU CAN ONLY MAKE PEOPLE MAD IN WAYS THAT I AGREE WITH OTHERWISE YOURE NOT FUNNY MR VIDEO GAME COMEDY MAN!
YOU CAN ONLY MAKE PEOPLE MAD IN WAYS THAT I AGREE WITH OTHERWISE YOURE NOT FUNNY MR VIDEO GAME COMEDY MAN!
Who said you have to do it in a specific way? I said a response like "stop team attacking, you idiot" or "gtfo hacker" is almost no response at all. And thus to me, is not entertaining. If you manage to make someone mad using any way you want over a video game, it's gonna be funny. But for like 20th time, "stop team attacking, you idiot" or "gtfo hacker" doesn't mean you've made someone mad.

You're taking this way too seriously.
if you had actually made a valid point outside "i dont like it" then of course you wouldnt have to repeat yourself for pages because we get it you dont like it but that doesnt mean its bad, it means you dont like it
How are "you" getting it if you people talked about "art of griefing", talent, how much I care about how they make people mad in video games while I only said what I think about how entertaining a certain video is? None of the arguments except what the creator himself said was about what my actual point was. Even you don't know what my point was. I'm gonna spell this out for you last time. If the point of griefing is to get people mad and record a reaction that's going to be entertaining to watch, then reactions like "stop teamattacking me you idiot" and "gtfo hacker" are not it because these people are not angry and it's nothing that we haven't seen thousands of times already, and thus not that entertaining as the people who rage/cry/rant. I can't make myself any clearer than that. If you still want to twist what I said into something else then I guess there's no point for me to post in this thread again.
I can't make myself any clearer than that. If you still want to twist what I said into something else then I guess there's no point for me to post in this thread again.
Ok thanks. Next time we should try a bit harder to stop liking things Silly Sil doesn't like. I myself did a terrible job, because even after he pointed out how the video was not entertaining to him, I still watched the fistfull of frag videos again, subscribed to stgggs and watched a couple more videos on the channel, and I can't believe I kept watching videos when he clearly pointed out that the people weren't really that mad after all! Thanks for reuploading the channel by the way, this is a lot better than having to find stolen vids instead.
stggs is washed up. he's like shane mosely trying to do a comeback fight. you're too old bro, just let the young guns handle the griefing... the game has changed
stggs is washed up. he's like shane mosely trying to do a comeback fight. you're too old bro, just let the young guns handle the griefing... the game has changed
Yeah, the game has changed to insufferable fuckwits who make "LOL TROLLING LOLOLOLOLLO XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD LITTLE KID GETS MAD XXDDDDDDDDDDDD". It's been co-opted by unfunny shitwads who paste troll faces all over the thumbnail, make some little kid mildly upset, add their shitty music, and call it a day. For fucks sake, greifing used to be an art, an art that revolved around finding the newest and most effective methods of upsetting people that required considerable video editing and original material. The young guns are shit. stgggs will forever be the king of bees.
if your excuse is "but it ruins other peoples fun" then arent you doing to them exactly what they are doing to others? its entirely subjective in every single regard

its like 3 buttons/clicks you need to do in order to leave a game where this shit is happening
But if you force people to quit a game that they were enjoying, is that not objectively ruining their fun? What if people leave that server and come onto a different server where another "stigggs" is having his type of fun, should that person leave that server also? How many servers does a person have to leave before their idea of fun, playing the game legitimately, gets ruined? Many legitimate games and communities have been considered ruined because of hackers running amok. You're allowed to think this is funny, I personally don't, but I don't understand how you can make any sort of argument where this is socially acceptable. What this is, is mean-spirited, vindictive, and downright dickish behavior. Stgggs is known to hack, teleport to players to specifically target and to harass them, and call their phones repeatedly and even hijack their user accounts, how can any of this not be considered harassment in any kind of form? I'm not saying you're a dick for liking these types of videos, you can watch and enjoy them all you want, but you have to accept what this is for what it is, griefing to harass players to illicit a response. Even Stgggs himself says he's no hero or comedian.
i have my doubts that someone that actually protects their information can be that easily doxed considering the amount of times i have been "doxed" and 80 percent of the information was wrong and its not entirely victim blaming since im not saying the people doing it arent in the wrong, they are in the wrong but its a situation of "if i locked my car and didnt leave the keys in the ignition they wouldnt have so easily stolen it" dudes still stole the car, but you are still at fault for having it so easily be stolen, its why you'd lose insurance claims on that if you fucked up that bad
I understand what you're saying, that people should assume some personal responsibility, but you're really making conjectures on how insecure some of these people are. Anyone could look up my real name in the phone book and get my number, it's not hard and I don't think it means these people did not give a reasonable amount of personal responsibility. No one I know in real life would just harass me just because my number was in the phone book so why should I assume it's okay for someone on the internet to do so. Many streamers give some personal information out to viewers, such as their name and general location such as country, with this basic and easy to find information it's not hard to find someones number and use it to harass them. I don't understand how you can justify doxing just simply under the guise that the victim may have not assume reasonable personal responsibility, that's speculation and victim blaming. And furthermore it's straight exploitation of people to use this information against them, especially concerning that it's considered basic information expected of most people.
i dont know about you but my mobile isnt in any phone book?
Maybe it wouldn't. But it could be tied to things like, email, skype, and maybe even facebook and other social media sites. It's irrelevant though because a phone number is used to contact people not harass them, and it makes it hard to legitimately get in contact with people you don't know if that person was forced to hide or change their number due to harassment. In fact it's very hard to get in contact with people who are victims of cyber-bulling, because in flee of getting away from it, as with a quote you seem to agree with, "closing your eyes", people are forced to try and ignore their problems instead of correcting them properly to make them go away. People are forced to give up things like facebook, twitter, and other sites we consider basic social functions because people harass them on it. Again you ostensibly seem to be victim blaming solely on speculation with little of evidence for lack of proper personal responsibility. You want to talk about people who really lack personal responsibility? The people who harass in the first place, they should take it to themselves to not be a bloody bully. They failed their own personal responsibility, that you seem to argue for in justification of victim blaming, when they decided to harass someone. Stgggs might not have harassed anyone on any social media sites, but he forced people to change their numbers, their passwords, and maybe even their internet alias' to get away from him and any kid who watches his videos who might think it's funny to continue the harassment on his behalf. Maybe having to change passwords are small, but the stress of being derided, tared-and-feathered, on display for the entire internet is a little big.
Stgggs has never called anyone and he's not the person who made the video of people stealing Steam accounts. I'm sure at this point he regrets uploading #streamingismyjob. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFMBbrysxaE
Stgggs has never called anyone and he's not the person who made the video of people stealing Steam accounts. I'm sure at this point he regrets uploading #streamingismyjob.
If he expresses boundaries, then at least I can give him some respect for that. Although I don't think it'll change my own personal opinion on griefing videos, I'm too fundamentally empathic. Regardless, I think it more or less proves my point that either he has fans who follow in what they think are his footsteps and try to harass streamers on his behalf, or most of the other people who do these kinds of videos (such as people from team meatslave, myg0t, or other people who associate with team infoslash) are more scruple-less. I'm not against people viewing and enjoying these videos, I'm just against their creation just because I believe it can objectively depreciate someone elses experience with a game, but largely due in part with the blatant cheating. If you watch any of Daniel from SL's videos you'll notice he doesn't cheat once to get a reaction and he's usually very subtle about his behavior. I'm also strongly against whoever created the "Jay owen on the phone" video, hijacking peoples accounts are not only uncool but they're also just down right criminal.
