;32923604']From what I understand, the No Russian level in MW2 convinced the Russians that the CIA committed the massacre, so diplomacy broke down in an already broken relationship between the US and Russia (remember American and British forces fought against the Ultranationalists during the civil war in CoD4, who eventually won), which led to the Russians getting so pissed that they said "fuck you" and retaliated. It's not Makarov whose doing the invading- he's pitting 2 enemies against each other. He was part of the new Russian government but believed the leaders to be corrupt and weak, so he brought the US and Russia to war. They're trying to find him because if they can, then they can prove he was the one who committed the massacre, and then end the war. Or that's how I understand it.
Wait, how did Makarov cause this again? Also, why did anyone bother believing anything he just said? Makarov is an internationally known figure of menace, then, with a Russian military record. So when he confidently machineguns his way through the airport without even bothering to put on a mask, are we to believe that the Russian authorities weren’t able to identify him from security camera footage? Instead, Russia blames a nobody CIA agent found dead at the scene who was killed by a point-blank pistol shot to the head. That doesn’t raise any red flags at all? The obvious conclusion is that the whole thing was an American plot, and that a full-scale invasion of the continental US is the appropriate response. The transition to the Takedown favela mission begets more confusion, such as: how did Shepherd tie the shell casings to Rojas? Meticulous analysis of the cutscene indicates that he actually re-created a 3D model of a shell casing from security camera footage, which was sufficiently hi-rez to make a match against a big bullet database. So the Russians, who had the actual shell casings to analyze, couldn’t figure that out? The security footage was crisp enough to recreate minute detail on a spent shell casing, but not of sufficient quality to identify Makarov’s face. Conclusion: Makarov’s face is smaller than a bullet.
OP seems to be posting every call of duty MW3 trailer released, along with him trying to jam his opinion down our throats. We get it, You don't like call of duty. If you really don't like it then why is it YOU posting all the videos?
-large theory summary- Conclusion: Makarov’s face is smaller than a bullet.
Lets not forget that a few of your 'teammates' on that mission are scripted to die. One of which has a hammer and sickle tattoo blatantly visible on the side of his neck. And the fact that the CIA agent the Russian police find has the aforementioned bullet hole in his head and was found dead/dying just after the perpetrators drove off, which should mean something. Trying to make sense of the shit that jumpstarted an Ultranationalist Russia's war on America is an exercise in insanity, much less why they are apparently attacking France, Germany and otherwise in MW3 now.
And the fact that the CIA agent the Russian police find has the aforementioned bullet hole in his head and was found dead/dying just after the perpetrators drove off, which should mean something.
How did they know he was an American agent in the first place? Did he just have a note on him saying "HI! IM AN AMERICAN CIA AGENT! IF FOUND DEAD, PLEASE RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT."
How did they know he was an American agent in the first place? Did he just have a note on him saying "HI! IM AN AMERICAN CIA AGENT! IF FOUND DEAD, PLEASE RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT."
Maybe it was like, "Damn, they got away - quick, identify the body!" "He's got a weapon, vest; definitely one of the criminals like all the other ones dead on the airway." "What do you figure the force was?" "I dunno.. This guy looks like a cheeseburger american or something. But, uh, shouldn't we check the other bodie-" "Those bastards! AMERICA WILL PAY FOR THIS" v:v:v
I rather rent this game instead of buying it.
I like how it was released the same day as Battlefield 3 Launch Trailer and it was overshadowed
the day when one incredibly generic war shooter is overshadowing another incredibly generic war shooter and they're the two most anticipated games of the season, something is wrong
If anything it's worth renting just for the singleplayer if you're into that sort of stuff.
This. Only reason I'm playing it is for the singleplayer.
I expected this trailer to have an Eminem song like they did with CoD MW2
That's a better trailer than the one in OP imo.
The campaign looks to be fun. That's it, I might rent it for to play the Campaign, a good evening of kaboom.
The only reason why I dislike MW3 is because of what Activision did to the 2 executives of Infinity Ward. This then backfires on Activision after most of the staff left for the newly formed company, Respawn Entertainment. This now isn't made by Infinity Ward, just a bunch of guys who chose money over quality.
This is a launch trailer? Seems kinda weak for one if you ask me. Usually launch trailers are supposed to be the best trailer released for a game, and this just seems like it could be any other trailer. Just goes to show they don't even need to try, they know their legion of fans will blindly buy it anyways. And really? "Most anticipated game in history" my ass. And I have no real problems with the campaigns for these games, its just not my cup of tea (and by this I mean the newer games, CoD1 and 2 are still awesome). The story is always shit, the characters are always forgettable, and the game play between the cool stuff is always repetitive and bland. That being said these games do have their cool moments, if only for their Hollywood action movie vibes. The nuke in MW1 was cool, and the parts where you fight in DC in MW2 were pretty awesome. Its a shame because I feel with better story and characters and gameplay that actually IMPROVES from game to game, they could have been decent campaigns. Throw a boring multiplayer on top of it, and you've got an entirely mediocre game that gets way too much attnetion.
Bf3 will be better but the cliff hanger in mw2 is telling me to get it.
Makarov is hunted down and killed. All of the player controlled protagonists die.
Bf3 will be better but the cliff hanger in mw2 is telling me to get it.
There was a whole plot leak on Kotaku or somewhere that pretty much sums up the whole plot of the game, so if you are really getting it just based on finishing the plot, I'd recommend looking at it so you don't have to. :v:
... My brain hurts.
Its obviously easy to laugh at, we need a new award for games Most Anticipated Pre-Order.
I pre-ordered this as soon as I saw the first trailer.
"I buy it for the singleplayer." Why can't you just rent it?
"I buy it for the singleplayer." Why can't you just rent it?
Seriously, it's dumb to pay $60 for a 5 hour campaign when you can just pay $7 or whatever and finish it within a week.
I'll probably end up renting this game just to play the campaign.
Wow all that the trailer showed was just a bunch of people doing cool poses and shit. [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] And explosions.
Why does every trailer for each game say it's the most anticipated game in the fucking universe?
Well, if I preorder a game, the day before it releases I am more anticipated for it than anything ever
this will still pwn bf3 dedicated servers ftw
this will still pwn bf3 dedicated servers ftw
Except that MW3's dedicated servers are unranked, so you can't progress. You have to do host/matchmaking for ranked. While BF3 on the other hand has dedicated servers for anything. And the only rule set that breaks ranking is if you go over the 64 player limit on PC (max 256). Get wrecked, son.
Well, if I preorder a game, the day before it releases I am more anticipated for it than anything ever
Sure you are, as is everyone else that wants to play it, but they're saying that they have more people wanting to get their hands on this game than any other game ever made. [editline]24th October 2011[/editline] And they seem to say this for every release they have.
It looks fun. I would enjoy playing this. If I hadn't already spent 60 dollars on the same game.
