I'm sure that by now, it is on the edge of releasing.
funny that you say that, they just released this on their fb page.

This image shows three scenes using the exact same mission and settings. The difference being one set of images is taken using version 1.2.10 and the other a beta, work in progress version of DCS World 2 (not released yet). This is taken at 50,000 feet in the southern portion of the Black Sea map around sunset. We believe it shows off the dramatic improvements in lighting, shadows, visibility and color coming with the new graphics engine. The only difference is the graphics engine, all the art and geometry are the same.
Before you ask... we plan to release DCS World 2 later this year.
FUCK, FUCK, FUCKING SHIT FUCK :v:
These videos are great! Pretty much reason I decided to grab myself these games on sale awhile back!
He's umm... well... pretty normal. It's only when you launch one of these .exe files that things start going awry...
Elite Dangerous looks hella fun. I assume you use flight sticks for that game too? Curious how that would control with mouse/keyboard.
I sure wish i could have a game with you lads one day. You seem like a jolly bunch

Pretty bad considering you have vertical/leteral trusters, yaw/roll/tilt down/tilt up, and your throttle to go forward and backwards.

Yup.
I mean you CAN, but it would be like juggling a few hatchets while pivoting on top of a yoga ball.
Imagine using WSAD for your 4 directions (Strafe left/right + vertical strafing up and down) Your mouse for Yaw and Pitch. Another 2 buttons for Banking, and another 2 for throttle. That's a lot of work for what one hand on a stick can do
Joystick with a twist stick is ideal for these type of games IMO
Subbox being a cunt, didn't see that being uploaded, thanks for posting!
I've got a nice video that will be coming next week. Good ol F-15's out and about. Whipping some Old Mig-29's and what not.

New Incomprehensible button-mashing: Even better in russian!

You know what's great? First Person Shooters (Like Arma) Flight Simulators, RTS games, are all almost at the same graphical fidelity now. Having FPS Detail in a Flight Sim or RTS is great

I'm not too sure I understand what this is about.
Is this an update of the FM to the existing Su-27? It says in the description that it has a 6-DOF cockpit, but I thought the flanker already had one.

Buildings of cities consist of few polygons, trees are just 2 sprites.

Terrain is mostly flat, and hills show obvious polygons
Compare that to Arma3

I can't enjoy Black Shark as much as I want because the grounddetail is so bad at low altitude. You can't hide in the open terrain.
[editline]19th October 2014[/editline]
Now I got every module but the Huey, Hind and Combined Arms.
Random thought - How compatible is saiteks hardware with DCS?
More specifically, this branch of their stuff:

I haven't heard of anyone using those yet. For buttons, I don't see why not, however for the lights, that might be a different story.
I'd check on the ED forums for more.
