Did I miss something, I remember hearing about halo 2 and 3 months and months before their release, but I only heard about Halo 4 like, 3 weeks ago.
His videos are very entertaining, especially his Bully let's play, but his main problem is that he takes one problem in a AAA game and tears the game with it. Meanwhile he jizzes over every indie game ever.
That being said, he's in my opinion one of the best commentators on youtube.

Halo Combat Evolved though has one of my favorite starts of about any game ever. For its time, it felt huge.
The newer Halos all start out fairly slow like most games and have to pick up.

I find Nerd[sup]3[/sup] funny and all, but he's definitely not very tolerant of other playstyles or games. If you do something that too out-there and different, it is [I][B]objectively shitty[/B][/I] to him.

He doesn't like a particular story in a game so he skipped it. What's wrong with that? What's wrong if he thinks it is shit? Fine, he is entitled to his opinion and holding an opinion contrary to that of others doesn't necessarily mean he is an arrogant elitist. I mean if he said ACR sucks and all people who play it are stupid then I'd agree with you but AFAIK he never said anything close to that.
He doesn't want to play multiplayer on Xbox because you have to pay for Live, I can understand that because I do the same thing.

Ummm no. He plays indie games all the time that are too 'out there' and he loves them. Who cares if he enjoys a particular game or not, he is just a random lets player on youtube.

Seriously it's like you all have a mental block on the first third of the video where he was all praises until the combat started grating on him
Also he doesn't like multiplayer, so he's not going to play that.

He did bring some good points up about the game, and i would much rather watch something with a little humor and even acting stupid then the other elitist gamer that talk about every possibly strategy or where the best spots to snip from are. Haven't seen much of his other videos to comment on those. In the end Halo 4 can be played without playing.
And Halo 4 doesn't have a main focus on vehicles so they aren't going to waste their time on driving mechanics.
Holy shit normal looks dull. Glad I played Heroic to begin with. I also barely used the fully automatic weapons unless I was forced to (If I ran out of ammo for a different gun or when it consistently starts me off with one).
And of course holding RT and "thwacking" enemies is going to get boring after 10 minutes (especially on normal). It also probably didn't help that this is his first Halo game, and like he's expecting RvB is canon (unless he was joking about it).

Why fix what isn't broken?
The driving is fine, hell, I would much prefer the style it has in a Halo game, controlling any other way would not fit right at all.
This is easily one of his worst videos. He does this a lot, really. When he finds something he doesn't like, he'll harp on it for half a video. Just because he may not like the driving controls, doesn't mean they're bad. Hell, I have never heard that complaint from any of my friends before. And he's bashing the game for having a crap story, when he's playing the fourth installment of the series without ANY knowledge of the story prior. not very fair, really. And with the campaign not being "fun", he's playing on a piss easy difficulty with no skulls on, of course its going to be boring. He's done this before, If he plays a AAA mainstream title, he'll hate it regardless of its quality. You give his some obscure indie-game and he'll love it no matter what. His hate of Medal of Honor: Warfighter is perfectly justifiable. This however... is not so much.
As for the driving, a friend put it to me perfectly - it's "console kid's first car" - point camera where you wanna go and let the game do the steering. I'd concede an improvement to that over the years if the warthog didn't still over-correct all the damn time but nope - exactly the same as it was all the way back in Halo CE. I'm not saying it isn't fun to drive, I'm saying it's both incredibly simple, and has never improved on its flaws.
He wasn't bashing the game for a "crap" story, he was bashing it for being an unwelcoming story - which it is. It doesn't explain any of the backstory so far. (except in secrets, which defeats the point)
One of the points he raises is this is the first in a new trilogy of halo games, which should be a perfect opportunity to attract new fans, and it's squandered.
"Normal" is not supposed to be a piss-easy difficulty.
I do agree that he hates on AAA games a lot and never on Indie games, but remember - a rubbish Indie game is generally just dull and not worth releasing a video on. AAA games attract attention, regardless of perceived quality.
I don't even agree with NerdCubed on this game - to me, it's a multiplayer game first and that's where the game is great. But I can also see the singleplayer game divorced from the legacy of being the recognised Halo franchise, think about it without any fanboyism, and consider whether the game is any good on that standpoint. And it feels old - but with a HD do over.
One of the most annoying LP's I've seen in a while.
