This game is amazing, I hope that video made more people buy it
Preorders went up by over 800%.

I can just imagine the rage over new commanders.
I'll add the other videos to the OP as they are released. Next up will probably be his coverage of the Kharaa side. (Aliens)
Also, the guy in the background is Hugh Jeremy, a really cool guy who actually started out doing video content about the game, later on he got hired by the devs of the game.
You can find his channel here

After watching this I now must buy it

Can you vote kick commanders if they are being useless?
After watching this I now must buy it
People actually buying this because I spread the word? Wow, that really makes me happy. This game deserves more attention than it gets. With the help of TB, Im sure it'll get it.

Yes
Tb almost did by an accident it in the video
How active is the closed beta?
I really really like the look of this, I've been waiting for a good RTSFPS.
How active is the closed beta?
I would say quite active. You can find servers on every hour of the day in all countries and it's competetive scene is growing steadily.
its a fake accent he puts on for views
No, he's not FPSRussia.
How active is the closed beta?
Before this video, there were always a few nearly full servers, now there are a hell of alot more.
Pre-Ordered it a couple of hours ago and I've been playing the beta for a while now. All I can say is that it's wicked fun. Those times when you get a team that actually has a good commander with mic and you all team up, make the game extremely fun.
Last game I played as marine and me and three other guys had this little squad going and took half the map ourselves. It was so awesome it was crazy.
Also if you want to play the beta you better have a good setup because even with th high-end PC I have I had to go down to normal quality to make it playable. Everything else was good as shit.
its a fake accent he puts on for views
Uuuh, no. Considering I've woken up to his voice in person I can say its not a fake accent.

Shows all the active servers
Pre-ordered the game back when it was just the engine test, it's great seeing all the changes that have happened since then
It's really cool how there are a lot of new players (so many full servers), but I think I wont be playing for the next few days because its a noob fest
I played with a guy nicknamed "Call Of Duty" today and all he did was bragging about how he got 7 kills as a marine
I am on the verge of getting this, is it worth it?
NS 1 was great fun.

Yes
its really unoptimized though, you need to have a good pc

I like playing with noobs. They make me feel better about my score. Ex: Just recently I managed to get 8 kills with one life as a marine. These included one or two dead fades if you can believe that.
If you enjoyed NS1, I can almost guarantee you'll enjoy NS2. It had most of everything NS1 had, and then some. There is just nothing like setting an enemy hiveroom aflame with your flamethrower and watching everything burn and writhe.
I swear to god that Australian dev is a shoutcaster, he sounds like one and does it well
Savage did it best because medieval but this looks really rad
Uuuh, no. Considering I've woken up to his voice in person I can say its not a fake accent.
you sleep with him?
I swear to god that Australian dev is a shoutcaster, he sounds like one and does it well
Hugh is, he shoutcast most off NS2 competetive matches.

Savage 2 was fun :>
Savage 2 was fun :>
Too bad it died off so quickly.
Even though I don't really like TotalBiscuit, I'm quite glad he made a video on NS2, which will up the player base, because it's pretty hard to find any players on an Australian server half the time I want to play.

its called a forced accent change.

That sounds incredibly disturbing without context.

yea I remember playing it so much when I first got it. then they started that one mod where its like a foggy area and yo ugotta hide from the beast.
I can't wait to see the alien side, and its going to be a steamworks game it seems like. So hopefully it gets a good amount of publicity and its regularly updated so it stays an active game.
I also wonder what other types of maps they will have.

I can't even hear his accent, wtf
I also wonder what other types of maps they will have.
There are apparantly some maps that people were making that were just remakes of the popular ones from NS1, and those got the special dev treatment and are now going to be official. One of the guys FMPONE is making a remake of ns_veil, and I think someone else is doing a remake of ns_eclipse.

This is where most of the threads usually wind up for maps people are making for the game. Although I can't say how many are actually downloadable, or which ones are going to be finished or not.
As I make more progress with my map NS2_Goliath, I believe I am going to be doing a lot more playtests more frequently. If you feel like you would want to be involved in something like that, check on the thread every now and then. News on playtests sometimes float around in there.
