My 9 year old cousin (who's a little girl by the way) was gushing about this recently. Funny thing, she doesn't even play Minecraft all she does is watch YouTube videos of it all day. I dunno, I guess she's wanting a virtual boyfriend or something.

in my opinion, drawing "standard" anime style usually requires a lot less effort than say, Stan Lee's comic book style or even cartoons.

What do realistic body proportions have to do with the amount of effort required to draw a character?
Surely complexity and detail are the deciding factors.
I mean, look at this:

That's not realistic in the slightest. It still looks awesome, and it's still not easy to draw.
I think you're a little quick to dismiss anime in its entirety. You can't objectively prove anime is better than comic books or vice versa.
And I don't think you should. If you don't like something that's fine. I for one think there's glorious masterpieces and absolute drivel on both sides.
I don't get the fascination with making the girls super socially awkward and annoying... well there's a lot about why someone would make this mod I don't get but that stands out pretty intensely.

I never distinctly claimed anime style is better than comic books or vice versa. There are obviously works that excel in both genres, and artists that blow your mind in both as well. IE, GENZOMAN's awesome style incorporates aspects from both comic and anime.
There are people who do Westernized comics that completely suck at it, too. I'm just stating that this artist's anime style rubs me the wrong way.

Either way, this mod is kind of dumb. It could be interesting, but adding the anime art is sort of pointless. I do think it'd be neat to make friends with mobs though!

Anime style can either look amazing or goddamn awful, depending who drew it.
anime art drawn by actual anime artists/people who can draw looks just as good as any other style if you aren't one of those FPers who hates anime for no reason.
When you can't drawn and do anime style things go bad, sameface, no expressions, weird proportions ect but I mean that happens to any style if you can't draw.
The art in this mod in my opinion falls under the latter, but it isn't being passed off as professional art so I'm ok with it.

As the creator of the Visual Novel Megathread, I do not approve of this unless someone that is skilled with words write deep impacting story about each of those monster girls and their pasts experiences, making them fully fledged characters. Then of course you have to place in a death scene to force drama into the scenery. After you finish all the routes, you unlock the true route where everybody survives at the end.

The mod itself isn't that creepy. The writing just seems like a 3rd grader wrote it.
