The great thing about about Worms Armageddon is that it still has a robust multiplayer system all these years later!
I've still got Armageddon in the boxed pc and cd version lying around somewhere in my room.
Best fun I had as a kid was playing coop with my sis and just building funky bases by either drilling into the maps or building towering girder bases in the sky.

Such a pleasant surprise that I couldn't even think of. :hypeisreal:
Now this is something new! I find myself wanting to play this more and more as the days go by. It's great that they allow players to disable this sort of thing, too, should they want a more classic Worms match.
im not really feeling the direction that the art has taken, I never really played the 3D worms games, but Worms2 and Armageddon were my jam back in the day, although im not exactly fiending for the 90's aesthetic of the levels, the comicbook expressions and style of the worms themselves were perfect. I mean I'm going to get it cause it means i can play it with the lads, might be one of the things that finally forces my hand on getting a console, but im surprised its not coming out on the WiiU, i know its not the most powerful thing, but this doesnt seem like a particularly labour intensive game to run, not that i think thats the reason its not on it. It's a shame, even for a studio of their size, it shouldnt have been difficult to get it through to nintendo, Armageddon on the N64 didnt perform too well so maybe that made them decide against it? im kinda struggling to come up with ideas on this

The last several Worms games have been lackluster, but this looks like it could be fun.
I don't get the hate for 3D worms. There were complaints about the camera, but I found it very intuitive. You move around in third person and aim in first person, no weird bullshit here. Having an extra dimension also made platforming far more interesting.
you know, worms is pretty fun but it always kind of irritated me that some of the terrain art was drawn in a 3D perspective but you just walk literally on the edges of it like it's 2D

The game is calling to meeeeee
Someone called Gavin is one of the top developers, as mentioned at 5:00 in this e3 gameplay; worth watching imo.
from what i remember, i had a ton of fun with Worms 4 Mayhem on PS and xbox ports, it was definitely one of those games you could throw on when you had cousins around and mess around with 3d worms was more harder in my experience, i always noticed one problem was that everyone would cluster all together or youd have no idea what you're doing but you managed to either kill someone or yourself
23 games and finally they are improving the classic concept
Holy shit that "OMG LOL Strike" weapon is fucking insane and I love the shit out of it. 12:30 from the E3 gameplay video above, btw.
The crafting system looks/sounds really promising. Seems like they finally addressed the lack of weapons issue. That was always part of the fun for me in the Worms series, having an extremely diverse set of weapons to choose from. Revolution really lacked in them. I remember playing Armageddon for years and still discovering weapons I'd never seen before (that were only acquirable through weapon-drops). There was one occasion where I got a mine airstrike, which I never saw again in all of my hundreds of hours playing the game. I managed to get a single mine lodged in a tunnel my dad had his last worm holed up in and won the game :v: Also, what did you guys think of the dynamic water in Revolution? As much as Revolution was a let-down, I liked the dynamic water system. Then again, I always like dynamic anything :v: [editline]19th June 2016[/editline] And holy shit that guy in the black sweatshirt in the gameplay video is fucking annoying
Using dynamic water to drown and flush others, and to soften your landing was always nice; and it would work even better in 2D. I hope to see it come back this way.
