They're not even close to shirtless though. They're seriously just wearing tank tops. Women wear stuff like that out in public all the time and people don't call it attention whoring then.

Look I think in this video they're obviously gunning for attention. But it's a god damn team promo video, the whole point is get some attention going for your team. They're not attention whoring because they're wearing tank tops or showing their gender. I think they just tried to be cool and ended up making a shitty video.
what the fuck? all you did was say something obvious and then get really defensive and insult other people when they didn't agree with you. You act like you came in here and enlightened everyone, very smug.
I agree with what you said for the most part, mostly.
I'm not an making arrogant claims, I'm stating a fact. It simply took the thread 2 pages for someone to state the same thing.
lmao why must these kind of thread always EXPLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODE
Because people who have yet to actually live life on their own for any period of time think they know everything about human interaction and how it should occur and have to correct anyone else whom has the slightest inkling or hint of having a different life experience or opinion.
At length.
Over and over.
And over again, as if somehow making a comment on an internet forum somehow constitutes actual exposition of any remote kind of relevancy.

You sure are good at doing exactly what you just criticized, pretending you know everything about people who argue on a forum just because they argue on a fucking internet forum.

I know this is an insult directed at us feminsits or "The Sanius Squad" but matter of factually perhaps we've just had life experiences where we've experienced first hand the side effects (or perhaps experienced it ourselves)of sexism? I know I have and just to assume because we see the world differently than you that we have had no real life interaction is a pretty stupid thing to say. the fact of the matter is this post is pretty hypocritical.

I know a lot more than you do, and have a piece of paper that said I jumped through all the right hoops to say so, and why yes; of course this is the first and only time this topic and the related arguments thereof has ever come up, and why also of course, people's live were actually changed or even thought was given to the trite and rote answers presented on both sides there of, how silly of me to miss that and come to the conclusion that it was, in fact the same people making the same arguments of dubious social or practical application in yet another thread involving said subject.
My sincerest apologies.
Probably because you don't need to wear a low-cut evening gown to play a computer game.
that's a dumb reason to say it's pathetic do you even have girl friends
girls don't wear low cuts to be like "hey look at my boobs" they wear because they like the way they look in it/they think it's cute on them

Wrong, but I do thank you for pointing out rather handily that once again most people on either side haven't the faintest and tend to jump to simplistic and trite conclusions that completely lack nuance or appreciation for the actual context of the issue at the core of the argument.
No because if it was a guy playing shirtless it'd be equally as dumb. Stop trying to label people as misogynists.
no this is legitamately misogynist
"girls should crew necks because it's immoral for them to wear low cut shirts and to reveal their cleavage."
i don't even know why you guys need to point out what they're wearing, it's not even like they're wearing bondage suits or their bare bra
do you guys just walk around in the street and look at a girl with a low cut and be like "Wow what a slut"
girls don't wear low cuts for you, or to make nerdes fawn over them, but they wear it for themselves, i go shopping with girls, i know why they wear the clothes they do

I'm just gonna throw it out there but your use of SAT words on forum posts make you seem very pretentious. Also that isn't addressing the fact that your last post was a massive hypocrisy. which is what we were complaining about.

Intentionally shirtless males trying to show off their guns would be the equivalent as women who intentionally wear low-cut tops to show off their chests. Both showboat their physical features. I'm not saying the women in the OP are doing this, i'm saying there is no double standard because both have the same motif behind it.

Okay yeah I can agree with that. I think it does depend on context though.

they don't
the equivalent of that is if a guy wore a low v-neck and had muscles and you guys were like "Wow what a douche he's wearing that to show off his muscles"
when he's obviously not, he just likes wearing v-necks, if he wanted to show off he'd go shirtless, like how the girls would be wearing a camisole or their bra
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
jeez do any of you even talk to girls
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
even a camisole is questionable, girls wear them when they're too lazy to put anything else on

Thanks for clarifying what I just said and what you quoted.
no i'm saying a shirtless male is not equivalent to a girl with a low cut shirt
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
a low cut shirt wearing girl is equivalent to a V-neck wearing guy

Your arrogance is very clear and hilarious. You're so knowledgeable but no one else is, why are you an authority, but no one else is? You're the same as everyone else on this forum, you spend a good amount of time arguing on the internet, you can't be that impressive.

Might I add that some people would say that he's a douche showing off his muscles, that'd be from jealousy or insecurity though, I suppose the same is true for people bashing females for wearing a low cut shirt.

This is exactly right, women do not wear low-cut shirts to show off their boobs, it's because they like the way it looks. The v-neck comparison is perfect, I don't know why you guys think that women wear shirts like that to "show off their boobs", i hope you realize they don't wear what they do to cater to the opposite sex just like how we don't wear clothes to cater to them either. We like the way the clothes look, simple as that
Anyway, this video was pretty awful, obviously trying to crowd attention around them for being ~gamer girls~
no i'm saying a shirtless male is not equivalent to a girl with a low cut shirt
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]

I'm sure those v-necks really help show off their muscles even though sleeve length is about the same as a normal t-shirt.
I'm not even arguing about what clothes they wear I'm talking about the intent behind it. If a guy wears wifebeaters and happens to bulky it doesn't mean he's a showboat. If a girl wears a lot of low-cut tops it doesn't make her a slut.
Intentionally shirtless males trying to show off their guns would be the equivalent as women who intentionally wear low-cut tops to show off their chests. Both showboat their physical features
no there's a huge difference in societal implication
when a man flaunts his pecks he's doing it for himself and his own ego
when a girl does it she's doing it for the benefit of men
that's the issue. that's why when a guy shows off his body he's "an asshole" and "cocky" but when a girl does it she's "a slut" and "a whore". it's completely imbalanced
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
wait you pretty much just said that yourself. i'm confused. what side are you on?

I see a camisole as the female equivelent of a man wearing a wife-beater tanktop.
It's early morning/lazy day wear.
Are you guys still arguing that woman with cleavage making a video = attention whore ?
Because that's really stupid. I mean this is a pretty shitty video but come on, women wear clothes will cleavage all the time.
I bet they group scissor.
cleavage is natural like having a neckbeard you nerds
i know why they wear the clothes they do
what do they smell like?!!

Thanks, that's the first time I legitimately laughed at something today, and I needed it bad.
Although it's quite sad that one person has to point out that he, in fact, knows and communicates with women, and that another person has to point out that someone else can very well perceive it as bragging.
