1) I said this because I've seen people so many times in the past complain that dropping below 60 FPS makes a game unplayable, like fuck off, no it's not, stop being ridiculous.

To be fair it depends on the game.
The way that Overwatch works, for example, makes it completely unplayable even as high as 59 FPS (@ 60 Hz) because of the severe input lag that it creates - and I experienced this daily for a while. Although I agree, some games are perfectly playable below 60 FPS. I've never had enormous problems with TF2 as low as 30 FPS, and slower-paced games like Cities Skylines.
You know, it's pretty interesting to see people actually starting to remember how well designed the original Halo trilogy really was.
I remember 5 years ago always seeing it be the butt of "dudebro gamer" jokes and usually being blamed for "ruining shooters" by popularizing regenerating health and only being able to hold two weapons at a time.
i look at the halo series like casey neistat
casey neistat is great at what he does, but because he's spawned all these copycats who do it worse, he gets a bad rep too

2) I wasn't speaking for anyone other than myself, if you've read that as I was speaking for others then that's really on you for misinterpreting what I said, plus I don't have to explain shit when it's just something I feel.
3) I already started this off with it being my opinion, again, you've just read it completely wrong and are now giving me shit.
Imagine being this mad that your eyes aren't overclocked

I played at 60FPS (cant go further due to it being a laptop and heat issues) and never noticed any input lag
-snip-

I think it's because something being popularized doesn't mean people have the talent to make it good. Halo made somethings popular without people understanding what made Bungie's games good.

It significantly depends on the game.
Are you playing a highly competitive fast-paced shooter with little room for mistakes? Well, you can play that below 60 FPS, but you will die, a lot.
It's so weird seeing Halo 1 in 60FPS

I've mostly played it on PC and Xbox One, I forgot it wasn't 60 on the Xbox.
i really really wish there was a way to get rid of the 30fps animation limit on PC. i've had to lock it at 30fps on PC to ever play it because otherwise keeping it at 60 while all the animations play at 30 fucks with my brain

I always found this interesting. I assume there was no method for animation tweening in the game engine, so the animations were built with each step of the animation designed to run at 30fps
I think modders have been able to fake 60FPS animations but its very hacky.

It only bothered me when driving the warthog, otherwise it didn't bother me when on foot, even though the game ran at over 200 FPS.
I find it really hard to hit rolling elites when playing over 30
The big issue holding back full 60fps on HaloPC is the fact that the game does many calculations at 30 times a second. For example, even if you took the animations and interpolated them to 60fps, the game would still only play them at 30fps, and it would just look like the animation was played at half speed.
People have tried increasing the game speed, but the physics will be spastic as fuck due to them relying on 30 ticks per second. I can see people maybe releasing 60fps editions of SP maps, but multiplayer's a great deal more challenging due to the horrible trashy netcode.
It isn't impossible, but it's gonna be quite a job for whoever decides to make it work.
